Hi guys, thankyou for your responses, I'm taking it all in, and just thought of something which may draw users in

"Make your website something that offers real benefit to your site visitors."

Its a nightlife forum, so people look for stag and hen information, I've emailed a couple of stag and hen companies to see if they'd give discount to members via my site.

So if i was to create a locked section, "stag and Hen discounts" and make so they need to post maybe 5 posts, to auto unlock the section.

its a win win, I get post contributes, and the user gets discounts!! just thinking of something else other than just stag and hen, in this way.

what you think?

Just a quicken, So my forum, talknightlife.co.uk is currently 10th on google for "nightlife forum" I have about 15 back links, 26 page autority. Now what i'm trying to do, which everyone else is doing, is trying to move it up a couple of spots maybe to 5th or something.

What would your tactics be, I'm disregarding all the crap I read in the forums etc, you guys on here tend to have the best explanation.

I was telling my friend via facebook to go on my website, I told him to search 'nightlife forum' in google.

To which, I believed it was 11th, top of second page.

On his computer, its currently ranking at 1st place

is it possible to have a difference of 10 places? even though he lives in the same city as me.

Would be good to see what it ranks on your computers too

google "nightlife forum" look for www.talknightlife.co.uk (don't get confused with the .COM one out there)

Everyone has been really good to me on here, just wanted a bit of advice with the keywords on my forum.

my website is a nightlife forum for the UK, each city has its own section. Each section has a eg:

_What's on in Birmingham? Club Nights, Upcoming Events, Promotions _

as the  Title category,

Should I drop the Club Nights, Upcoming Events, Promotions and put that in the description of the forum.

So it'll just be

What's on in Birmingham?

with a description

Find Club night information, Upcoming events and pr............. eg

Just wondering if it was to stop searches been made, like, Club nights in Birmingham etc. from being targeted.

Talknightlife is a nightlife forum for the Uk (hope you guessed that)

... so it's currently Talk Nightlife | Nightlife Forum and Clubbing Guide for the UK

what you you reckon? changing it to

A: Nightlife Forum and Clubbing Guide for the UK | Talk Nightlife

B: Nightlife Forum | Talk Nightlife a Clubbing Guide for the UK

Nightlife Forum | Talk Nightlife | Clubbing Guide for the UK

I'm ranking 1st for  "Uk nightlife forum" / "Nightlife Forum UK" so I don't really need UK at the front.

Hiya guys

I've noticed since changing my Title of my forum from:

Talk Nightlife | Nightlife and Clubbing forum for the UK

to

Talk Nightlife | Nightlife Forum and Clubbing Guide for the UK (current)

... That its jumped from 22nd to 10th in google for term "nightlife forum"

Am wondering, because of the on site optimisation tool telling me I should put the keyword to the front to something like eg:

Nightlife Forum | Talk Nightlife Clubbing Guide for the UK

Will changing the Keyword and putting it to front of the Title make a big difference?

Your thoughts please guys

Cheers, I very much appreciate your comments dana!! from your opinion, should I fill / wait / for the forums to fill up with content then add more areas, or add more areas now and gradually fill the forums, its a catch 22, more forums = less busy = less attractive, but more area's = wider audience = more traffic (sort of)

what you think about this?

thats my solution too, but when I do the 301 direct on the /forum.php it doesn't work,

then again I'm confused, should i be doing the 301 on my domain host provider? my server provider? or via Vbseo on Vbulletin

Do you think I should change the category names from eg Birmingham nightlife forum to Birmingham Discussion ? would that lower my rankings for the term birimingham nightlife ? although in the forum within that section there is a keyword placement, birmingham nightlife.

I'm unsure what will benefit me
