Hi MozFans,
A client is interested in working with the guest blogging service of performancing.com. They seem to have a lot of good contentwriters and post on (most) niche blogs.
Guestblogging is a good thing for seo, when it's on relevant sites with a quality article.
The client hasn't got a lot of time to write and find blogs himself.
Any positive or negative experiences?
Or other options
Thanks!
Thanks Keri,
For now, the Good Answer

Hi MozFans,

In open site explorer this isn't working: Link
Is there a other way to check the backlinks of a https website?

Hi MozFans,
I have got a question out of the field about www.coloringpagesabc.com.
Question is why the rankings and traffic are going down down down the last 4 months.
Costumer thinks he got hit by google penguin update(s).
The site has about 600 page’s/posts al ‘optimized’ for old seo:
- Almost all posts are superb optimized for one keyword combination (like … coloring pages)
The site to me looks like a seo over optimized content farm
Competition:
When I look at the competition. The most coloring pages websites don’t offer a lot of content (text) on there page. The offer a small text and the coloring pages (What it is about :-))
How to get the rankings back:
What I was thinking to do.
Am I on the right track?
I can use some advise what to do, and where to start.
Thanks!!</keyword></keyword>

Hi Alan,
Ok we start cutting the htaccess. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks!
Thanks Anthony!
That's the strange thing, website is working only there is still a 403.
We will check chmod status.
Hi Mozzers,
I got a question about new website from a new costumer http://www.eindexamensite.nl/.
There is a 403 forbidden error on it, and I can't find what the problem is.
I have checked on: http://gsitecrawler.com/tools/Server-Status.aspx
result:
URL=http://www.eindexamensite.nl/ **Result code: 403 (Forbidden / Forbidden)**
When I delete the .htaccess from the server there is a 200 OK :-). So it is in the .htaccess.
.htaccess code: ErrorDocument 404 /error.html

Thanks Ryan!
So it will be a Canonical tag
Thanks!
It's for a site in the Netherlands and google is about 98% of the market. Bing is comming up so a thing to check.
No-roboting is a way to do it i didn't think about! thanks for that. I will check with the client.
Thanks Ryan!
So link is like:
On the site a i will use the canonical to point everything to site A.
Hi Mozfans!
I'm working on seo for one of my new clients and it's a job site (i call the site: Site A).
The thing is that the client has about 3 sites with the same Jobs on it.
I'm pointing a duplicate content problem, only the thing is the jobs on the other sites must stay there. So the client doesn't want to remove them. There is a other (non ranking) reason why.
Can i solve the duplicate content problem with a cross-domain canonical?
The client wants to rank well with the site i'm working on (Site A).
Thanks!
Rand did a whiteboard friday about Cross-Domain Canonical

Hi,
I am working on a SEO project for a client.
Some of the urls have a + between the keyword.
like www.example.com/make+me+happy/
Is this good or bad for seo?
Or is it maybe better to use - ?
Thanks!
Thanks for your reply.
I'm just doing a scan, so this wil help
the non-www and www issue i will let the client know.
I think it is a Ajax issue: http://www.vacatures.tuinbouw.nl/xmlhttp/vacatures/ this feed is installed with ajax
I found that the jobs are in some kind of xml feed:
http://www.vacatures.tuinbouw.nl/xmlhttp/vacatures/
How do i resolve this?
Hi Mozfans
I'm doing a sitescan for a new client. http://www.vacatures.tuinbouw.nl/
It's a dutch jobsite.
Now the problem is here: The url http://www.vacatures.tuinbouw.nl/vacatures/ is in google.
On the same page there are jobs (scroll down) with a followed link.
To a url like this: http://www.vacatures.tuinbouw.nl/vacatures/722/productie+medewerker+paprika+teelt/
The problem is that the second url don't show up in google. When i try to make a sitemap with Gsitecrawler the second url isn't in de sitemap.. :S
What am i doing wrong?
Thanks!
I'm there for the first time this year. All the way from Holland. The flight wasn't very cheap. But i'm happy to join MozCon! I'm so excited!!
