EGOL,
I have a question for you. Would it be a bad idea to create the list of tips and have each company put the list on their web site. Im thinking in terms of duplicate contact?

EGOL,

I’m new to SEO but wouldn’t it still help? If you are trying to rank for the keyword "pickles" and your url is pickles.com, every link back to your site will contain the word "pickles" because its in your url. Where as if your site was called peanutbutter.com and you weren’t able to change the tag it would say peanut butter. Wouldn’t Google say pickles is way more relevant to pickles than peanut butter is, wouldn’t they give the pickle url more consideration? Again new to SEO and I might be missing something here.
Haha, not gonna lie, im totally gonna use that...
Thats a good idea! How ever you didn't really answer my question :).
If your working with a local business, is it a good idea to reach out to similar businesses in other states and ask for a link?
Example: I own a paint shop in Minnesota, and I reach out to a paint shop in California to see if we want to link to each others site to help our SEO. Because we aren’t in competition with each other wouldn’t this help us both?
So it would be ok to say have 8 articles that say Window Glass Replacement in the h1 tag or does that need to be varied as well?
Hi Aran
These articles are for an external article marketing campaign. I could also put them on the website itself, but wouldn't that take away from article marketing efforts because of duplicate content?
For example lets say I'm looking to rank for “Window Glass Replacement”. What kinds of articles should I create for this? Does it matter? Should I create articles such as How to know if your windows need replacement, then have the text in my link say “Window Glass Replacement.” Should I try and vary the link name? Should I vary the titles of my articles, or just make sure the content is different?
I am new to SEO and have started my keyword research. One keyword I would like to rank for has a competing site with over 400 back links, 300 of which are from dex. How hard would it be to outrank links coming from dex?
