Seems like there are many variants that could be considered, but what occurs to me is your primary stated concern. You mentioned, "that link building to a separate page will not help with SEO for the main product page, which was the original goal." I wouldn't undermine your original goal.At this point, you've moved into a CRO space. So your offering helpful information in trade for the subscriber information or at least tagging with analytics to understand the download activity is a good idea. Once the user downloads the info, you embed a clear call to action inside the document that routes back to a unique landing page and converts the user to engage in your product offering. Now you can track how effective this document will be for the user and gaining trust. If they are compelled to buy after reading the document, that provides data to you in two ways. This off the top of my head, but I would map out a usability flow and use this to engage the user in deeper and more meaningful way for your organization.
The latest company is applying a better practice for your site. Your previous company's methods may have worked a very long time ago and very likely creating a negative impact today. Since you are accessing MOZ, you can test the validity of their work using the on page grader. Hope this helps.
Hi, I typically prioritize Errors and then Warnings. Tracking down and fixing the issue with the 404 is hopefully pretty straightforward. Fixing the 302 is tedious work, but necessary. Fixing redirects is addressed at your server/Cpanel level. Adding information to your missing meta description tags could be helpful to your SERP. A quick reference to this issue is located here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/meta-description Regarding a reference, there are volumes of information (as you are experiencing). You may consider SEO 2013 by Dr. Andy Williams. It's a quick read and provides a fairly high level overview of the main items to consider. You'll want to cross reference this, but it provides some insight. Best of Luck.
Hi,
I would go with your intuition and focus on brand. The address is your G+ page, which translates to maps and your site. Ideally, you have your business address noted in the site with Structured Data Markup. That seems to cover your bases.
Hi,
I've seen a few of your other posts.. welcome..
Q. Do you think that Facebook could use some conversion rate optimization?
A: I would be shocked if there isn't a team (if not an army) doing this now.
Q. Do you think that Facebook could be doing more than they are to make more money?
A: Sure and I suspect they are working on it.
Q. Do you think that Facebook (being such a powerful site), could make a lot of money by implementing an SEO/Content strategy?
A: I'm not FB usability expert, but I would invest in improving their site search capabilities first. Just an opinion.

Hi,
It's difficult to provide you with a clear answer. It could be helpful to have some more information. Would you mind providing a link to your site. Sometimes reviewing a site can be helpful. Also, when you say."I have contacted help but the guy isn't any help", are you referring to SEOMOZ support?
Thanks
Hi,
First, thanks for referring this site. I will dig into this further. I know the good info graphs utilize html and css, so you get the benefit of your information indexing. I'll look into this product and provide feedback. Thanks again for pointing out this site. I'll research it soon.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Ali,
While the contributors above make great points, it may be helpful to look into some resource info for more details. This won't provide you with a quick answer, but I found this book quite helpful in discussing issues on the discrepancies. Brian Clifton goes into quite a bit of detail in, "Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics". He addresses the points from the contributors above and quite a bit more.
best of luck.
Hi Anders,
I think Ruth made some great points in her comments above. I read over your content and several things occur to me. If this were my project, I may consider reorganizing some of the information on the home page.
Further below in the page, you have some items that appear to be FAQ(ish). You might find an opportunity to move some of this content into another page, but create a call to action (anchored text links) to them. This helps you gain traffic deeper into your site content, so the home page asks the question, which do well. The links draw them further into the site and engages them to convert (download).
Also, I'm seeing the alt image tag text report the use of "The WordPress Security Checklist" several times. I would consider using this term once versus the three occurrences.
The strengths that you have is the keyword term in the URL, which is a huge benefit. Ruth's comments on using WP versus wordpress is insightful, because it bolsters the URL. I would scale back to find a bit more balance and you'll get there. You can always scale back up, as you see fit.
Also, here is a flag to consider:
Multiple meta description tags found!
I'm sure others may have more specific input, but this is what I would consider adjusting. The joy of SEO is research, implement, test, and modify...
Best of Luck,
andrew
I agree with the comment above. I think your priorities and focus for content and social sharing are key to your long-term success. Authorized directories are still essential (for now). So DMOZ and the quality directories will be helpful to supplement your long-term goals. Some of the business directories set the links as a nofollow, so you want to research that. Hope that helps.

Agreed with the the last submission. The largest challenge for you to gain traction in rankings will be the age of the domain when compared to long-established businesses because of the trust factor.
