Is linkdetective.com officially dead?  Does anyone know of any inexpensive tools that we can use to classify link types, e.g. resource link, blogroll, sidebar, etc. for link building?

I have briefly reviewed the API data available through the Moz API endpoints and did not see that the rank tracking data is available. I first wanted to confirm that? Second, I am looking to start tracking rank for nearly 1 million keywords (local pages multiplied by dozens of core keywords). I want to watch the rankings for a region move over time, as well as keywords generally, and then keywords in a region. My momentary initial research shows that there are a LOT of rank tracker tools, which felt a bit overwhelming to sift through them all and figure out which one would be best. My biggest needs are: handling lots of keywords and URLs exporting the data automatically (via an API or recurring export) allowing for localized results without having to qualify the keywords not breaking the bank to do so -- I'm not an SEO w/ multiple clients, these are all on 1 domain

Our company site has hundreds of thousands of pages. Yet no matter how big or small the total page count, I have found that the "URLs Indexed" in GWMT has never matched "URLS in Sitemap". When we were small and now that we have a LOT more pages, there is always a discrepancy of ~10% or so missing from the index. It's difficult to know which pages are not indexed, but I have found some that I can verify are in the Sitemap.xml file but not at all in the index.  When I go to GWMT I can "Fetch and Render" missing pages fine - it's not as though it's blocked or inaccessible. Any ideas on why this is? Is this type of discrepancy typical?

I'm thinking about making them a bit more hierarchical, so there can be breadcrumbs and you could click back to San Francisco Lawyers from San Francisco Real Estate Lawyers. Good examples of sites that have dome structures like this really well?

I'm trying to make some sense of Google's rich snippets and microdata/Schema.org. Wondering if it's allowed to have reviews or an aggregateReview for a Person, rather than a Thing, Product or Place. Of course, a Person is a Thing, but when I try to validate my markup with Google's Structured Data Testing Tool, it tells me: Warning: Page contains property "aggregaterating" which is not part of the schema. Anyone have any ideas here?

Not sure why I did it this way, but I need to know if this is bad for SEO - I suspect it is. Consider this is how the Logo and company name is shown on each page of our site. # UpCounsel, Inc Where the #title tag has a background image showing our company logo, rather than the actual company words. Then the CSS is also displacing the company text in favor of the logo, but also helps with accessbility so the first thing they see on the site is the company name. My question is - I should probably not use an H1 tag for this, right? And then in order to change this around, I should use H1's for the important title of the page. I understand there is some question about whether the page <title>and H1 should be the same, but we don't need to go there right now. ;-)</p></title>

Hi mozers! Brand new to SEO and LOVING it! Having several key questions that I don't see answered yet, but I'll start with one we've been very curious about. Consider this guide we have for Forming a Delaware Corp.

Then, you can start to walk through the guide beginning with step one, where each step has crowd sourced answers to it. But as you see, the step pages are all very similar, except for the answers and step info. (Question 2) Would it be better to put all our answers into the one overview page and skip having separate pages for each step? We like the process and simplicity of seeing one step at a time, but then these pages don't seem to have enough unique content on them. Related, at what point (if any) is a page too big with too much content and considered bad for SEO?  We're recovering from a big hit from Google, and slowly recovering by nailing down various SEO mistakes. We DO have great, unique and valueable content - now we just need it to rank!
