Michael Wolfinger is an entrepreneur and educator in bioinformatics and Web technologies. He is CEO at incore IT Solutions (www.incore.at), an open source IT agency based in Vienna, Austria and co-founder of KMU-Booster (www.kmu-booster.com), a new media company. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Vienna. Before starting his own business, he worked as a research scientist in the field of algorithmic bioinformatics at the University of Vienna, where his research interest was on the elucidation and modeling of biopolymer dynamics. As an IT professional, his focus in on open source Web Content Management (CMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. He regularly lectures, publishes and talks on topics related to life sciences, digital information systems and social media.
