.htaccess yikes!
Hi guys,
Having a bit of trouble getting a htaccess redirect working. It's very easy but I am making a small typo somewhere!
I want to redirect about 400 product pages located at;
http://domain.com/product/product-name
to
http://domain.com/product-name
..basically just dropping /product/
Any help would be appreciated as my errors in Moz are all over the place!

Keyword Saturation
Hi guys,
A run a niche price comparison website and the keywords I'm targeting are the product names themselves.
I recall Moz recommended that using the keyword too many times on site was not a good thing.
Typically, I would have a unique description for the products and the list of merchants, prices, links to thier site and thier product names.
This resulted in my keyword appearing many times on site, in slightly different forms (the product names were taken from the merchants feed)
I no longer see this warning in the recomended and I believe it is more transparent for my visitors if they see the merchants website name on my site.
Is it safe to put them back on my site?

Product Descriptions & SEO
I got another small question for my price comparison website that I run
An example product from my site, to which this question relates http://goo.gl/XDTUNs
I have about 600 products which I track, and the product description I have for each is as follows;
Paragraph 1 - Standard copy which is contained on all products, only the product name / keyword is changed "Easily compare prices below on a XXX"
Paragraph 2 = Blatant, 100% copy of the product description from Amazon
Paragraph 3 - Standard copy which is contained on all products, only the product name / keyword is changed "Always read your chosen stores product description before buying your XXX"
Firstly, I am now on a mission to create unique descriptions instead of the Amazon ones I foolishly copied. My question is, are the standard paragraph 1 and 3 which are in all my product ok? Or should this be avoided?
Should my unique description be paragraph 1, or can it remain in the middle?
The reason for the three separate paragraphs was so I could mention to keyword 3 times, which is what is suggested on the Moz page grader.
Thanks so much!

RE: Rich Snippet Not Appearing? Why?
Hi Martijn,
I would say it would be about two weeks ago since I fixed up all the errors that appeared on the tool.
I'm aware that they are scaling it down. It's a shame if so because I rank ahead of my direct competitors and they have the markup when appearing below me on the SERPS.
I just wanted to make sure that it looks ok in the tool.
Nothing appears in the preview pane.

Rich Snippet Not Appearing? Why?
I run a price comparison website and am trying to get merchant name, product name and price appearing in SERPS
I have used the Google Structured Data tool and after initally receiving some errors, I was able to remove the errors and ended up with what I thought would be my ticket for awesome looking SERPS.
Here is a link to the Google tool with one of my products;
Does anyone see any issues?
The product from my site used in that tool is
http://cdkeyprices.com/product/Batman-Arkham-Origins-CD-Key
Any ideas?

Www no longer redirects
Hi there,
A while back I dropped the www from my domain.
Everything redirected ok and I could still access my site using www and it would simply redirect to http://mysite
This no longer seems to be occurring. I don't think I have changed anything?
I don't believe I had anything in my htaccess however I am looking for some assistance in doing so. I've done a bit of reading but am not 100% confident!
If anyone is interested, the url is http://cdkeyprices.com
Thanks

RE: Removed .html - Now Get Duplicate Content
Ive just spent the past 30 minutes looking into it...care to give me a few hints on what I need to put in my .htaccess
-
RE: Removed .html - Now Get Duplicate Content
I should clarify, I have a plugin that dynamically creates link on a single page I have.
http://cdkeyprices.com/product/Batman-Arkham-Origins-CD-Key
It was in this plugin that I removed the .html
The other areas of the site which were under Wordpress control, already had the .html removed some time ago and are not having issues.
Perhaps this might be a little harder then I originally thought!
Will Google eventually drop the old links?

Removed .html - Now Get Duplicate Content
Hi there,
I run a wordpress website and have removed the .html from my links.
Moz has done a crawl and now a bunch of duplicated are coming up.
Is there anything I need to do in perhaps my htaccess to help it along?
Google appears to still be indexing the .html versions of my links

Dashes "-" in keyword?
Just running over the page/keyword analyzer and Moz picked up the fact that my link and title are not the same as the keyword I am targeting.
I am targeting the keyword "Battlefield 4 CD Key"
However my title (and therefore link) are Battlefield 4 CD-Key. Note the dash.
Does the dashes matter in SEO or should I try to remove them and have continuity through all of the page.

RE: Price Comparison Website And Keywords
Thanks for your replies!
Vadim, what I mean is I get a feed of the products listed on a particular shop. I display their data "as is" which means whatever they name their product on their store is how it appears as mine, in a list with all the other merchants. I have since taken this off as mentioned
For example, previously, if I was comparing prices for a Sony Z1 Camera my product page would look like
Amazon Buy Sony Z1 Camera $19.99
CameraCentral.com Sony Camera $22.99
Camera.com Z1 Sony Camera $40.11
CameraOnline.com Buy Sony Z1 Camera $55
etc
I removed the product name column in case it was key word stuffing!
Thanks again

Price Comparison Website And Keywords
I run a price comparison website for a small niche at http://cdkeyprices.com
I am targeting keywords for the specific products I am comparing the price/merchants on. On a typical page I would have a price column, product name, the merchant and a buy button. Buy button is affiliate linked to the merchant.
The product name in the product column is the name from the actual website I am tracking. As such, my keyword was appearing sometimes up the 30 times.
I've took it down some months ago but was wondering if this was a bad move. I was concerned Google would think I was stuffing the keyword. I've only just gotten into SEO the past few months so was not able to see any changes.
Should i put the product column back up or would it be considered over optimization?
