Mobile first - what about content that you don't want to display on mobile?
ANOTHER mobile first question. Have searched the forum and didn't see something similar. Feel free to passive- aggressively link to an old thread. TL;DR - Some content would just clutter the page on mobile but is worth having on desktop. Will this now be ignored on desktop searches? Long form: We have a few ecommerce websites. We're toying with the idea of placing a lot more text on our collection/category pages. Primarily to try and set the scene for our products and sell the company a bit more effectively. It's also, obviously, an opportunity to include a couple of long tail keywords. Because mobile screens are small (duh) and easily cluttered, we're inclined _not _to display this content on mobile. In this case; will any SEO benefit be lost entirely, even to searchers on desktop? Sorry if I've completely misunderstood mobile-first indexing! What are your experiences with Google+?
Hi all, It would be great to hear about your experiences with Google+. We've tried a few times to use it in the hope that it might give us a hand in SEO terms but it has been utterly painful. Not only because the UI is almost impossible to figure out, but because engagement is essentially 0. Perhaps we're doing something wrong. How has it gone for you? Ross

Does/could the MpzBar highlight your website in the SERPs?
Is anyone aware of a setting in the MozBar which would highlight your website within SERPs? Or, even more exciting, display a number on the bar when looking at a SERP, showing your best current position for that query (in real time)? If not, it'd be interesting to know your thoughts on the idea? Great for quick checks and references or would it discourage people from staying vigilant in the SERPs and keeping an eye on the competition? (Note: we do have MOZ Pro and are aware that it does something similar. I'm thinking more for a quick check of those difficult targets where you're not hitting the first couple of pages).

How to load the mobile version of a page without the desktop version in the background (and vice versa)
Let’s say your designer wants your homepage to be fairly image heavy. Then let’s say they want to use DIFFERENT images for desktop and mobile. You appease them and make this work. But now your homepage is slow (makes sense, right? It’s loading both sets of images but only displaying one set). You lazy load and compress but your home page takes SIX SECONDS to load. The rest of your site loads in just under two. This can only be having a negative impact on SEO. You won’t convince your designer to cut the images. What do you do? My immediate thought is to look for a way of only loading the content relevant to that screen size. Sure, it won’t reshuffle itself on desktop when you drag your Chrome window to the size of a phone. But who cares? We’re the only peope who do that anyway. Is this possible? Do you have any better ideas?

The "Fetch As Google" limit has been decreased - what now?
Since Google decreased the "Fetch As Google" limit to ten pages per day, we've been a bit stuck. We're publishing 20-30 content pages per day, targeting a huge range of search queries. Circa 40% of our traffic comes to us through these pages. Since we're now heavily restricted on submitting these to Google, who's got other ideas to get the pages picked up quickly? I'm slightly concerned because although the pages link outwards to other areas of the website, no other areas of the site link to these pages. They're purely top-of-the-funnel. We can't be the only people with this concern. How would you address it?
