Hi Everyone
I've tried searching elsewhere in these forums for an answer to this but not having much luck - hope I'm not duplicating content!
I get this message in Moz:
"We have detected that the domain NappyValleyNet.com redirects to www.nappyvalleynet.com.
We do not recommend tracking a redirect URL. Would you like to track www.nappyvalleynet.com for this campaign instead?"
Is this a set-up issue on my side? I'm not sure what this means?
Thank you!
Thank you for the response.
Great suggestions on looking at source and the blog - will do that.
thank you again!
Thank you - the content timeliness could be an issue.
School results came out two weeks ago and I had assumed that the (large for us) spike in traffic that generated would have "washed" out now but perhaps it's still there...
thank you again
Hi Everyone
I have a website and am slowly getting to grips with SEO.
Last week I enabled a new channel in google analytics which was "email" so I could track effectiveness of the weekly emails we send out.
The good news is that a ton of traffic is now being assigned to the email "channel" in GA but my organic search traffic in channels is now down week on week.
That feels odd as my overall traffic to the site is up, week on week.
Does anyone have any experience of new channels coming on stream and canniballising old ones? Could it be that some of the traffic associated to organic search previously was actually coming from my email, I just didn't know it?
thanks all!
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.
That does make sense, I'll manually weed them out but it stops it being a useful "quick check".
Thanks again
Hi Everyone
I'm new to SEO so apologies if this is a silly question.
I'm using the unlinked mentions tool and as far as I can see the mentions are from my own site!
I've attached a screen grab.
Am I being a muppet? I thought that it would show mentions on OTHER sites that I don't have a link back to my site! The screen grab appears to show links on my site, as in posts on my own forum?
Thanks for your help!

In 2009 I launched NappyValleyNet.com, a SW London online mums community.
Our aim: to create a gorgeous mash-up of your best friend, your next door neighbour and that all-knowing schoolgate mum, wrapped up in a domain name!
Every day we help users choose schools, recruit nannies, recommend builders, find holidays and still find time for relationship advice and a gossip.
We seem to have got something right as we just keep growing. We now (Jan 2014) have over 50k unique monthly visitors from SW London alone and are growing at about 10% a month.
Our Richmond extension is booming and if you live in London we're launching near you very soon!
Ping me a mail if you think we could work together!
Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
