but how does Google measure likes? In Europe where my projects are located, most of the people keep their personal walls private...

So i am wondering how Google does measure the likes of a page. I can't believe that Google simply looks up the numbers in the social media bottoms. That would be too easy to manipulate ... (I guess).

Hi,

I am working on a project with very few really important pages - its now about 20 pages and this number will not increase to more than 30 by the end of the year. Today the majority of these Pages is 2 clicks away from the Homepage for navigational reasons.

Now I am wondering:

1. If I should set links from the Homepage directly to these Pages to pass more juice?
2  If you would suggest so - how would you recommend me to do this in Terms of usability and SEO?

my site is currently accessible through URL with and without www.

The Version with www has 10 times more Backlinks (PA 45 vs 38) but is not listet into the google Index.

As far as I know there was never made a google Webmaster account or declared otherwise the version without www to be 'cannonical'.

Basically I think that for SEO reasons it would be much better to declare the with www version to be cannonical and redirect the without www version to it.

My questions are:

Do you have an idea why the with www version is not indexed? 
How long does Google usually take to change the version in the index?
Do I risk my site to be thrown out of the index for some days untill the change is made?

Thank you... There is no google webmaster account made yet , so i think nobody defined the "without www version" to be cannonical or so so far.

If I follow your advice - will google replace the without www page in the index with the www version immediately or will the site be off the index temporarily?

Hi everybody,

I am thrown into a SEO project of a website  with a duplicate content problem  because of a version with and a version without 'www' . The strange thing is that the version with www. has got more than 10 times more Backlings but is not in the organic index. Here are my questions:

1. Should I go on using the "without www" version as the primary resource?

2. Which kind of redirect is best for passing most of the link juice?
