Like most people who play in the broken link building space, I was overjoyed when I found the Check My Links extension for Google Chrome. It was lightning fast, remarkably simple and it even had a sort of sexy look to it. One thing I've learned throughout my life, however, is that I'm never satisfied, and the more I used this tool I found it lacking a few things that I felt I just had to have.

Good linkbait is hard to come by. Good linkbait that achieves its desired goal is even harder to come by. This past year we partnered up with our web developer buddies down the road to accidentally perform an ongoing experiment in linkbait.

Among the SEO creme de la creme, keyword density is a phrase not even worth re-hashing, but for many, it remains a mainstay in their SEO lexicon. I'd be lying if I said I haven't run my own experiments and seen my own successes in the past with upping my keyword density, despite seemingly "knowing better." I've always had some knowledge of term vector theory, and had an understanding at only the highest of levels, but never actually sat down and tried to walk my math-retired mind through it to truly get it.

I don't know what everyone else's client roster looks like, but for us it's all over the map, both literally and figuratively. Not only have our clients allowed us to fulfill our dream of manifest destiny (almost), but they range from billion dollar corporations to one person start ups and everything in between. Obviously, the means and the goals of these types of businesses are drastically different, and from our standpoint they each require us to use different "SEO muscles."
