Hi Chiaryn, thanks for your help. My original question might not have communicated the problem very well, so I'll try to clarify it here. I think the algorithm is working for the English words, but it seems not to be working for the Chinese words.
I have set a contains rule around the following Chinese keyword: 功夫英语. Based on my understanding of how the rules work, that should mean that the following variations of that keyword are also marked as branded keywords.
- 功夫英语官网
- 功夫英语怎么样
- 功夫英语网站
- 功夫英语视频
The problem is that these variations are not appearing as branded keywords in my traffic report.
In terms of work arounds, I guess I could add each individual variation as a new keyword to be tracked (and mark it as a branded keyword), or I could add a new brand rule for each variation. However, since there are limits on both the number of brand rules and the number of keywords I can track, I'm hoping for an algorithmic solution
Thanks again for your interesting in helping. I'm really enjoying the trial of the Moz service and hope that we can solve this problem. Also, if it's a Chinese language issue, I'd be happy to help out. It's a growing internet market and I suspect that more Moz community members will be dealing with Chinese sites in the future.
