The H2 Tag at the bottom of the page (National Tool Hire) is actually text which sits above Content.

The H2 Tag (Floor Sander Hire) Graphic at the top of the page( I think you are referring to this), is a slideshow of 6 different banners so I guess it will be 6 H2 tags (one for each banner).

I see your point about having to many H2 Tags but they are links to the different categories we go to hence the thought of having them as H2's ?.

Hi All,

I have a Rental site and I am bit confused with how best do my H Tags on my homepage

I know the H1 is the most important, Then H2 Tags and so on.. and that these tags should really be titles for content.

However, I have a few categories (links) on my homepage so I am wondering if I could put these as H2 Tags given that it is relevant to the page . H3 Tags will my News and Guides etc , H4 Tags will the whats on the footer.

I am attached a made up screenshot of what I propose for my homepage  if someone could please  give it a quick look ,  it would be very much appreciated. I have looked at what some competitors do a lot of them don't seem to have h2's etc but I know it's an important factor for rankings etc.

Hello All,

I am currently doing my H1 ,H2, H3 Tags on my redesigned website

We have the ability to have links to relevant DIY Guides on the bottom of our webpage and these are currently displayed under a heading "DIY Useful Guides" above my on page content which is at the bottom of the page.

My H2 Tag will obviously be the title that sits above my On Page Content at the bottom of the Webpage and I was going to do the H3 Tag for my DIY Guides

Is it a problem if the H3 tag sits above the H2 Tag on the Page or not ?  Or have i got this wrong and I need to move the DIY Guides (links) to below the on page content so the H3 tag sits below the H2 tag?

Hi All,

I am no expert but we have just  done redone our url structure and these are points we had to weigh up.

1. I thought the closer to the root domain the more important the  page ?
2. However, it's always not feasible to have every page only one level from root so what we did , is have the url structure follow the bread crumb structure of our site and I believe this works well
3. That makes it consistent and easy for the user/crawlers to understand
4. Saying that though, if roses are one of your best sellers all year round , then it may warrant to have that url as closer to root as possible still have others using a category structure. I have seen that done on some large sites that sell alot of a particular item

I have a website with individual Location Landing Pages for each of my Depots.  I also have individual Google Local Business Listings for each of my depots.

Should I have a link from my Website Location Landing Pages to the associated Google local Business listings or not ?... Given that I already have a link on my Google Business listing to the relevant Location Page on my website.

I wasn't sure whether linking both ways would be more beneficial thus enforcing things better or whether it's not needed to link both ways .
