Thanks for your answer. Is there any other way to do this to generate more likes?

RE: Changing Domain
Good points....but we would still redirect old URL to new URL so they could still type in shorter url to get to homepage.

Facebook Likes When Sharing
Company A Someone shares a post from Company B on their Facebook page.
The post generated 1000 likes and 300 shares. Only a small percentage of likes show up for Company B's page.
Why does Company B's page not receive all the likes or at least a higher percentage for that post?

Changing Domain
We have an old domain that we have had registered for many years(pinpoint;asersystems.com) and redirected to our regular domain (which is a short version of our name (pinlaser.com). Management wants to switch and use the longer version as the primary domain for branding purposes.
I have cautioned against this for many reasons:
Need to do 100's of redirects
Potential loss of back links
Most links will now be 301 redirects and not look natural to search engines.
I would appreciate feedback on any and all risks associated with this potential move.
Thanks.

There would certainly be value to someone viewing your Local listing. And the more content the better.

Optimizing WordPress Pages With List of Posts
A friend of mine has published a new site called www.localsguidesa.com. It is an informational/review site about a resort town. Most of my experience has been dealing with single html pages.
In the case of this site, the main "money keyword" pages are mainly an introduction of text followed by a list and snipped of blog posts such as this page http://localsguidesa.com/what-to-see-do/attractions which would target St Augustine Attractions. Would she be better off making the main pages with more content and less blog posts?
How would ranking be affected with all the preview blog posts on the page?
The strategy is for the blog posts to rank on the longer tail keywords...such as "Top 10 Attractions in St Augustine ", but what suggestions would you have for a main navigation page such as http://localsguidesa.com/what-to-see-do/attractions

Post vs Pages
Does Google make any distinction between a web page and a blog post? Assuming all else is equal...any reason why a page would rank higher than a post? And that includes a page in WordPress vs a WordPress blog post.
