Hello there, I have found that when crawling my site I have errors regarding the meta description and it says it is missing from few pages. I checked these pages but there is a meta description. I also ran the same report with other tools and it comes up the same issues. What should I do?

Hi there guys, I have a question about redirection. My boss has just bought a new domain name and he wants it to redirect to our current site when looking for specific products. www.example.com is our current website www.productname.com is the new domain So the new domain would be redirected to example.com. Would that be considered against Google Policies? Thanks

Hello community! I got a bit stuck with negative keywords management today! I have updated the negative keyword list and as it can be shared among all my active campaign I put it into the shared library. But when I downloaded the recent changes on Editor I can't get to see the new negatives and I can't check their match types. Do I have to upload the list on Editor for each campaign? Thanks

Hello everyone! I validated the sitemap with different tools (w3Schools, and so on..) and no errors were found. So I uploaded into my site, tested it through GWT and BANG! all of a sudden there is a parsing error, which correspond to the last, and I mean last piece of code of thousand of lines, . I don't know why it isn't reading the code and it's giving me this as there are no other errors and I haven't got a clue about what to do in order to fix it! Thanks

Hello everyone, just a quick question about Google+; I had already a Google+ business page and I tried to link it with Google Places but instead of doing so, it created another page. So now I have two Google+ pages, one all set up with all the circles, images and everything else, plus another one (the new one) with nothing but the link to Google Places. Is there any chance to merge them both? Cheers

I am in the process of updating the sitemap of an ecommerce website and I was thinking to upload three different sitemaps for different part (general/categories and subcategories/productgroups and products) of the site in order to keep them easy to update in the future. Am I allowed to do so? would that be  a good idea? Open to suggestion 🙂

Hello everyone! I work on a website of a very small company and so far no one has ever implemented (not even thought about) a proper content strategy. The only content on the site are products description. Through Analytics I discovered lots of opportunities and topics to be covered which would massively increase the traffic, increase the engagement and (hopefully) sales. Problem is that I don't really know how to integrate a blog into the existing site; my first thought was wordpress What is the best way to do it?

Hello guys, I can't get my website to be loaded on Firefox, why's that?

Hi all I am dealing with duplicate content issues on webmaster tool but I still don't understand what's happening as the number of issues keeps changing. Last week the duplicate meta description were 232, then went down to 170 now they are back to 218. Same story for duplicate meta title, 110, then 70 now 114. These ups and downs have been going on for a while and in the past two weeks I stopped changing things to see what would have happened. Also the issues reported on GWT are different from the ones shown in the Crawl Diagnostic on Moz. Furthermore,  most URL's have been changed (more than a year ago) and 301 redirects have been implemented but Google doesn't seem to recognize them. Could anyone help me with this? Also can you suggest a tool to check redirects? Cheers Oscar

Hello there, I found out that some pages of the site have two different URL's pointing at the same page generating duplicate content, title and description. Is there a way to block one of them? cheers

Hello guys, After fixing the rel tag on similar pages on the site I thought that duplicate content issue were resolved. I checked HTML Improvements on GWT and instead of going down as I expected, it went up. The duplicate issues affect identical product pages which differ from each other just for one detail, let's say length or colour. I could write different meta tags as the duplicate is the meta description, and I did it for some products but still didn't have any effects and they are still showing as duplicates. What would the problem be? Cheers

Hello everyone! I run an e-commerce site and I had some problems with duplicate meta descriptions for product pages. I implemented the rel=canonical in order to address this problem, but after more than a week the number of errors showing in google webmaster tools hasn't changed and the site has been crawled already three times since I put the rel canonical. I didn't change any description as each error regards a set of pages that are identical, same products, same descriptions just different length/colour. I am pretty sure the rel=canonical has been implemented correctly so I can't understand why I still have these errors coming up. Any suggestions? Cheers

Hello guys, My website hasn't been reachable for couple of hours today and I can't really understand why as no links have been built, all the best practices have been followed  regarding on page optimization. I also checked google webmaster tools and there are no warning messages, crawl problems or anything so I don't understand why this has happened. Now for some reason the website is up and running again.

Hello guys, By fixing the duplicate meta description issues of my site I noticed something a bit weird.The pages are product pages and the product on each one of them is the same and the only difference is the length of the product. On each page there is a canonical tag, and the link within the tag points to the same page. www.example.com/Product/example/2001 <rel="canonical" href="www.example.com/Product/example/2001"></rel="canonical"> This happens on every other page. I read twice and I think I will do it again the post on GWT and I think that is wrong as it should point to a different url, which is www.example.com/ProductGroup/example/ which is the the page where all the product are grouped together. Hello guys, I was checking my product descriptions and I found out that there is a website that is using my descriptions word by word, also they use company name, product images, they have a link that sends you to my site, contact form.. I tried to purchase something and the order came through our email, but i made an inquire and it didn't come through. Also they have a sub-folder with my company name. Also they have url's with my company name, and this isn't right is it? I am confused and honestly I don't know what to do, we don't take part to any affiliation program or anything like that and we don't ship out of Europe. This is a Chinese website. This is the old title with the Url: 20mm O/D Black Polypropylene LSZH Flexible Conduit 100m Coil /Product/20mm-o-d-black-polypropylene-lszh-conduit-100m-coil/1352 I changed the keyword position and it looks like this: 20mm Flexible Conduit |  O/D Black Polypropylene LSZH | 100m I kept the same Url for now, should I change that too? Hello everyone, I am building links for an e-commerce site and I need to increase the value of the links we get by placing them on specific pages in order to pass more juice to inner pages. Which part of the website should I point the links to? Because there is no content section on the site what I can do is either link to the homepage (not an option) or link to inner pages such as category/subcategory/product pages. My doubt is that it wouldn't look natural to link to products pages from a piece of content or from a site where people go with the intention not to buy but to get information. Any opinions on this?

Hello everyone! Just a quick question about inbound links! I managed to be listed as a guest writer on a blog and I am allowed to publish two articles (maybe more if I had more time to write) on it with one link for each article. The blog has a very good PR compared to my PR2 site. My website is an e-commerce site and I was thinking to build few links pointing to different pages of the site, but because links come from the same domain will it benefit? Hello everyone! The company I work for has an e-commerce site that needs to be optimized. I am starting from the title tags which are too long and need optimized for specific keywords. Thing is that each title tag contains the specific keywords for the page  and the company name. My question is should I keep the company name within the title tags or should I just keep the keywords I target for those pages? How will it affect my rank? Cheers Oscar

Hello everyone! Just started on a new job as in house SEO and PPC but it is also my first job as such, got little experience and for what I know the site needs a lot of work in terms of optimization. I would like to ask some help and some opinions about what I think should be done in order to rank higher because at the moment the highest ranking page doesn't go higher than the third page for general but high traffic volume keywords. All the titles tag are too long, some of them  are up to 100 characters The meta tag isn't optimized properly to attract people and get clicks the content on the product pages is laid out badly and there aren't many  keywords a lot of duplicate content there are little inbound links there isn't a section for content such as a news page, a blog or anything like that which makes link building even harder Here my challenges: Create well optimized product, category , subcategory pages to improve also the PPC landing pages Improve the rankings at least to get on the first page for general keywords Choose the right keywords to optimize the site for increase the number of inbound links. I also have to manage adwords and given my little experience I can't seem to prioritize things so any suggestions would be really appreciated. Also if you don't mind to take a look at the site and leave me comments on things that I should improve, I'd be grateful .
