RE: Precise or longer title for service page?
Yee... thanks for the suggestion.
i am afraid that just optimizing a page wont get it to the top 10 - that page has about 20-30k links, it exists a while and was updated a lot.
it was in the top 3 and dropped to 7 - even when it was in the top 3 it got 1% click... Thats why i think that percentage might even influence the position...
There is no doubt about it - it is scary to play with it becouse it is a lucrative word.
But.. now that it dropped i do considre it.catch 22

Precise or longer title for service page?
i am a little confused as to how should i create my META TITLE and on page h1 title
for a service page...Say that page offers "web marketing" service... i know or think i know that precise title ranks higher
on the search results but its less appealingMeta title example:
web marketing | company nameOn page title:
Web marketingNow, the more compelling title would be of-course longer but less focused
1. Do you think i can test it without hurting my positions permanently?
i have query (i see the stats on Google webmaster tools) that
i get 20,000 views monthly but only 1% clicks...2. how would you build a title for such a page (meta and onpage)?
Would really appreciate your professional view
Best regards, Sagive SEO.

RE: Country Specific Domain
Hey +Edmond Hong,
Since both countries "speak english" i would not build different stores unless you have different pricing (even then there are better solution).
As to the domain, i would buy both of them to keep you authority intact and avoid copycats but i would
invest time marketing the .com one which is global.Google or to be exact matt cutts did say that Google is geo associating site according to their domain so
its best to buy something that would serve you in the long run. -
RE: Wordpress themes causing google penalty(need experts to settle a debate)
I think that if you have completely different content this should not be an issue.
You should also notice you guys are not
- using the same phone / visible email address
- linking between each other (tough its only 2 sites)
- have the exact same structure
My other recommendation is that one of you change the structure (not the theme)... each theme - or at least the good ones allow you to create a different structure, different widgets, different icons and similar structure related items.
For example you can use additional tabs in your homepage, use different widgets in your footer and so fourth.
Keep in mind that many people buy the same theme and in a world where themes are content related in many cases meaning real-estate themes, transportation themes and so on it not logical that Google would rate a site just based on the theme.
