Let's break this down:

• Equity-Passing (formerly follow) - Typically links which pass value from one page to another, including followed, 301, and meta refresh links
• Non-Equity Passing (formerly nofollow) - Typically links that are nofollowed or don't send value (rel=nofollow , meta nofollow, off screen, 302, RSS feed)
• Only rel=nofollow  - Links that have the rel=nofollow attribute
• Only Follow - Links that don't have the rel=nofollow attribute, but still may not pass equity (i.e. 302 links and meta nofollows would be returned)
• Only 301 - Links that are only specifically 301 links

I popped into the campaign in question and it looks like your tracking your competitors based on their root (non-www) domain, but they're actually ranking on their sub (www) domain which is why our ranking results are showing them as not being in the top 50 of SERP's. Luckily this is an easy fix

All you'll need to do is log into your campaign and head over to the campaign settings. From there, just add the www to your competitor domains and save! The next time your campaign is updated, you should see more accurate rankings data. Hope this helps!

Sort of.

Here's an example of how this works. You want to conduct a search for the keyword - SEO - for the sub-domain www.seomoz.org.

• If you choose the "Exact URL" radial, we'll only look for that keyword ranking on that particular page (i.e. SEO on www.seomoz.org).

• If you choose the "Entire Subdomain" radial, we'll look for that keyword ranking on any page within that sub domain.

Unfortunately, neither of these apply if you're trying to gather rankings data for your root domain because we currently don't look for ranking data for root domains in Rank Tracker   Unlike our campaigns, Rank Tracker doesn't include any subdomains if you type in a root domain and choose the 'Entire Subdomain" radial.

As of right now, the next social network we plan on incorporating into the Social Dashboard is Google Plus. This has already been added to the Dashboard for Moz Analytics so you'll be able to access this when you transition over to the beta. We do plan on adding other social networks as we go, but I'm not exactly sure which will be added next.

My recommendation would be to submit this in our Feature Request forum for our Product team. They review this on a daily basis and use it to plan our roadmap. They may also be able to shed some light as to whether or not this is being added in the near term or if it's a little farther out on the roadmap.

So, to confirm, multi-seat currently isn't and will not be released for Pro but.... (drumroll please) It's coming for Moz Analytics! Multi-seat will be included with higher level subscriptions and the option to add this into the new basic level will be there. For now, you're more than welcome to share your credentials with another person, but the caveat to this is that they would have admin level access to the account. Depending on your needs, the better option may be to build some custom reporting (as mentioned by vzPRO).

Hi there!

Once added to a campaign, keywords can not be edited. The reason behind this is that the data collected for it previously would become irrelevant once it was changed. What you'd need to do in this case is add a new keyword with the correct spelling and tracking (local, national) and labeling (if you want to label them). The old keywords could be deleted to free up those slots.

For duplicated keywords, both will be added/tracked because you can set them up to track different levels (national/local) as well as label them differently. If it's not something you want in your campaign, I'd recommend deleting the keyword.

Thanks for reaching out! The Duplicate Content errors are actually aggregated using similar criteria as Google - that's a 95% similarity on the code level.

So even if something like the title is different, if the overall code is 95% the same they will be flagged and could potentially get penalized by the Search Engines. Using third party duplicate content checkers on the URLs you provided, it does look like all but one combo meet the 95% threshold. In that one case, we may have found them to be 95% similar at the time of the crawl, but they aren't any longer so that will be reflected in the next crawl.

The error you received generally happens when we have a large number of requests come in at the same time (so server load issues). This doesn't happen often and we are working to limit the number of times this happens, but I can understand it being a little annoying when it does.

I just reviewed the campaign in question and was able to get the historical analysis to load. Can you try to load the page again? If it doesn't work for you this time, please send a ticket into help[at]moz.com so we can look into this further for you. Hopefully it does work though!

The time it takes our partners to update the listing really depends on how long it takes them to accept the data we push to them and update the information across their servers. Generally, this can be anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks. If you don't see the listing updated by the end of the 4th week, please let us know and we'll look into it for you.

Moosa was correct that the On-Page tool will let you know if you're keyword stuffing.  The section you'll want to take a look at are the High Importance Factors of the report (http://screencast.com/t/3lpHLhKhhi).  If you are spamming, the "Avoid Keyword Stuffing" alerts will show up as unchecked and the read more section will provide you with specific details.

Best practice is generally to have at minimum 4 and no more than 15 mentions of the keyword on a page.  Just a heads up that our crawler will look at the content in detail to find an instance of a keyword.  Example:

Keyword = tanning salon seattle;
Page contains phrase; best tanning salon in seattle

This would be tagged as an instance of the keyword since tanning salon seattle appears in that exact order within the phrase.

The reason we do this is because of best practices and the way we've seen this effect search engines in the past.  Since the search engines really don't tell anyone how they determine these metrics, we try to err on the side of caution to cover all bases.

As Kimberly pointed out, you actually need to wait for your next scheduled weekly update to see the changes you've made to your site. If you don't want to wait, you can head over to the Research Tools page and use the Crawl Test tool. This will crawl any domain you'd like, up to 3k pages, and report on issues found in a csv format. Just a heads up that Crawl Tests are cached for 24 hours so you'll need to wait a bit between crawls to get updated data.

Thanks for the question. The best way to do this is to head over to your Crawl Diagnostics page and then exporting the csv. From there, you can sort the 404 column to group them and scroll over to the referrer URL column (all the way at the end). That'll give you the path Roger took to get to the 4XX/5XX error.

This will be made a bit easier in Analytics because we'll list the referrer URL in the UI for these situations, but for now, the csv is your best bet. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

You should be able to do that. You'd just need to make sure it's formatted correctly. For the hours you listed, it would look something like this for Sunday:

1:09:00AM:11:00AM,1:02:00PM:06:30PM

If the hours overlap, then we wouldn't be able to process it for you. Hope this helps!

There is no comparison page that will show you the difference between paid and free accounts. The easiest way to see them right now is to log out of your Moz account and head over to OSE, Followerwonk and download the Mozbar. High level though, OSE will not provide social metrics, limits the filtering options available and limits the results shown on some of the tabs. Followerwonk shuts off exports and limits certain data sets and the Mozbar deactivates the ability to link to and analyze pages from our paid tools among other things.

Discounts to Mozcon and the video bundles are usually around a couple of hundred dollars. You can find the videos from last years' Mozcon here. I'll be sure to pass this along as feedback to our Product and Marketing teams to see if we can get a more thorough comparison page put together. Thanks!

You are absolutely right here. OSE currently doesn't support https because our crawler doesn't have the ability to authenticate itself with https sites. While we do notice the https site, we won't follow the links due to this limitation. That said, this is a feature that we have built and is currently in the testing phase. I don't have an exact date I can reply on when this will be deployed, but we're hoping to get this update out in the next 2-3 months. It's good to note that if the link is several levels deep (in the site), our crawler still might not detect the link because we use a first-breadth approach that is detailed in our help hub at:http://moz.com/help/pro/ose-overview .

That number is tallying up everything in the managed section in the dashboard. In this case you have a published listing with a duplicate which is why it's saying 2. I can definitely understand how this could be confusing though. I've confirmed that you only have one listing so there's nothing to worry about there. Regarding the Affiliate Program, it's been placed on hold for the moment. I'm not sure when it will be renewed, but I'm sure it won't be too long. And I'm not sure what you mean by client reporting, but custom reports for campaigns are now up and running. Hey Ron,

Finding duplicate listings is always a guessing process - pinging our partners for information and finding the closest potential matches - and because of this, you won't always have all potential duplicates reported. That's where the Alternate function comes into play in the Dashboard. When I reviewed what you had there, the alternates inputted were incomplete. I updated those and more potential duplicates were located.

As far as closing the duplicates, we automate the process for our partners. So if the duplicate is with Superpages, Acxiom, Localeze, Factual, Foursquare, infogroup or Best of the Web, all you need to do is click on the close button and we take care of the rest. The thing to note about this is that it can take up to 6 weeks for a resolution on the duplicates. If the duplicate is with a non-partner, we simply direct you to where you need to go to resolve it with them.

As far as what you're paying for, its the simplified and time saving process of managing your listing information for our partners (the major data aggregators that other local data aggregators pull data from). Instead of manually updating your information in every aggregators site, you just update it in Moz Local and we push the data out.

The only time you won't see metrics for MozRank and Trust is if your site hasn't been indexed yet.  You can see whether they've been indexed by running the site through Open Site Explorer (www.opensiteexplorer.org).  Our Mozscape index updates once a month so there's a chance you'll see this on the next update, but we can't promise that you will be indexed then  You can improve your chances of being indexed by going after some higher authority links for your site.

Hi there!

The campaign timeframes default to the period for which we have data. So if your campaign has only been running for a couple weeks, the drop-down will only allow you to choose the most recent weeks' data set. Once the campaign has been active for a month, the monthly timeframe will be available as an option in the timeframe drop-down. You can create and schedule custom reports to go out weekly if you'd like. This way, you'll have a physical record of the campaign progress you can always refer back to.

The time it takes our partners to update the listing really depends on whether or not they have an API. If they do have an API, the listing will be updated pretty much immediately. If they run on a traditional database (Acxiom is one), it can take up to 4 weeks.

There currently isn't a way to merge data or campaigns from one account to another. If you're wanting to consolidate accounts, my recommendation would be to re-create the campaigns from the secondary account to the primary account. You can then cancel the secondary account which will archive the campaigns. This will preserve the historic data and allow you to reactivate them in the future if you need to.

Chris also brought up a great recommendation regarding the feature request forum. I recommend submitting this in there for our Product team to review. The look at this daily and use it to help plan and develop their roadmap moving forward. The more a feature is requested, the better chance it has of making the roadmap too

Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the social metrics in OSE reports.  You should still be able to navigate around the page and export the data via csv while these metrics are loading.  Clearing your cookies/cache and restarting the browser may help if you're having problems navigating the site while these are loading.  Another thing to try is accessing the site through another machine to see if this issue is specific to yours.  If none of these work, send a ticket into help[at]seomoz.org and we'll take a deeper look at this for you.  Thanks!

At the moment, there isn't a way to export data in Moz Pro in any language other than English. The reports (with the exception of the csv's) are also un-editable. Thanks for the question. It looks like the problem you're running into is coming from how you're running the search in the Rank Tracker tool. If you run a search with the exact URL, we'll only search for keyword rankings based on that URL. If you choose the entire subdomain, then we'll search for rankings from the entire site. Thanks for the question.  Your rankings do look accurate in my searches.  To touch on Gordon and Matt's points, It's generally best practice to set the campaign domain off of what you're ranking for.  In your case, you're ranking for your sub (www) and have the campaign set for sub so you're ok there.  Also, there are many factors generally in play for search results.  You'll want to set a browser in incognito or privacy mode when you're conducting searches for comparative purposes.  You usually won't see an exact match in ranking data since we update once a week vs once a day or more for the engines, but you'll usually be within a couple spots of our report.

So there are a couple things to discuss here.  The main one is that you're campaign is set to track your subdomain, but you have a 301 redirect from your sub to your root domain.  You're also ranking on your root domain.  This is going to potentially throw off your results since we're looking as how a given keyword is ranking based on the campaign (in this case, sub) domain.

Looking at the search results from Safari set in private browsing for the keyword - west palm beach gynecologist - (I didn't see west palm beach obgyn in the campaign), confirms this as we're showing not in the top 50, but I found your domain in position 7.

Universal results (places, images, videos, etc) shouldn't throw off your rankings either as they're listed separately on the rankings page of your campaigns.

I recommend setting up a new campaign with the root domain in your case.  You can archive your existing one to save the historical content in case you ever need to revisit it.  Thanks!

If that doesn't work, can you clear your cookies/cache and restart your browser? Generally, one of these two tasks will fix what's going on. Hi!

It looks like Roger is getting stuck on the 301 redirects you have set up for your campaigns.  The best way to get this resolved is to archive the existing campaigns and create new ones with the updated domain.  For example, if seomoz.org is redirecting to www.seomoz.org, the campaign should be set up with the subdomain (www.seomoz.org).

You can archive your existing campaigns in case you ever need to reactivate them.  Hopefully this helps.  Thanks!

Hi David,

The account limits are actually shared between campaigns so if you use all of a particular limit (i.e. 50k-600k pages depending on subscription level) on a single campaign, you won't be able to create any others because there are no more pages available to allot to it.

If you have active campaigns that are crawling sites 1k pages or under, what you'll want to do is head over to your campaign settings and change the pages crawled limit for each campaign. You can find this under the Site Basics section. This will free up the total account limit for any other projects you may have.

We had an SSO glitch that we were battling through. A fix for this has been deployed so everything should be working properly again. If you are still running into issues access different parts of Analytics or the tools, try using a different browser or clearing the cookies/cache on the one you're using as you may still have old auth data that hasn't been updated yet. Hi all!

We discovered a secondary issue with the SSO tokens earlier today. The two symptoms associated with it is either being stuck in a redirect loop or being logged out when switching between Moz and OSE. A preliminary fix has been deployed that should cover most of the effected customers. Our Developers are working on a follow-up that should fix it for everyone else. There's no ETA on that as of now, but they're all-hands on it so it shouldn't be too much longer. Sorry about this!

To add to what Dan posted, you also want to make sure that you're tracking for the domain they're ranking on.  Using SEOmoz as an example, if we're ranking on www.seomoz.org, you'll want to make sure that you're tracking the www subdomain and not seomoz.org.  Thanks!
