Hi All,
Just wondering... since the demise of Linkedins' Signal tool, is there a way to actually see who and where my content is being shared on Linkedin? Blog posts being published at the minute are getting inshares almost as soon as they're live and I want to know who's doing it.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Anthony I am glad I'm not alone.
I sort of accepted that Facebook was making life hard work for it's posters to shake more money out of us but when organic reach drops from the high hundreds to mid thirties for no apparent reason, you gotta ask what's going wrong!
Have a good one
Thanks Ryan,
I haven't read it all yet but from what I have read so far it does look we're singing from the same sheet. I like the idea of driving traffic from Twitter to Facebook so I'm going to look into that.
Cheers for the info and links
Hi All,
I just wanted to see if others are having the same problem. Our Facebook posts used to reach a fair amount of people organically and that in itself generated enough clicks for what we wanted.
The problem is over the last month the reach has dropped considerably and it just doesn't increase at all after a few hours. Obviously boosting the post makes it reach thousands but organic is terrible!
Should I be troubleshooting our social update strategy or are others experiencing the same sort of "choking" with their Facebook posts? Twitter is fine, it reaches thousands organically so no issues there.
Hi There
You need to unblock the site in your robots.txt and then go into Google webmaster tools and "Fetch as Google". Check out the image I attached for you.
I usually Fetch and Render then Submit to index. It's usually very quick to index.
Never mind! Found the information here for anybody who is interested:

Hi Mozzers
This has more than likely been asked before but my searches have left me empty handed so I have asked on here ( sorry! )
Please see attached screenshot, do you have any idea why apple.com is showing in my top pages?
I'm just curious more than anything as this isn't the first time I've noticed it. Anybody know?
Happy Friday people, cheers
Hi Miriam,
Hey thanks a lot, I looked for myself for a good while but couldn't find anything nearly as good as this. Appreciated!
Off to make a Wiki page!
Have a good one!
Hey Monica
Thanks for the reply
That's the frustrating thing! We are a verified local business and the My Business account is configured. If you search for "BRAND" it doesn't show but when you search for "BRAND Review" it does show up!
I'll keep looking into it
Hi Guys
Happy Monday!
I have been having a real headache trying to the get that panel on the right hand side of the Google results showing up when my company brand is entered as a search query.
From all the research that I have done, it looks as though you can't have this panel showing unless you serve customers face to face in your place of work. Is this necessarily true?
Our biggest competitor has a very stripped down version of this box which just contains the image from their Google+ page and also a link to their wikipedia page but the point is it shows up when you search for their brand... ours doesn't?
Has anyone else recently configured this to work for their website? Any advice?
Cheers in advance!
Hi Richard
Good shout, after doing some research it looks as though the page that has now been replaced with the homepage actually got 100% CTR for a search term that isn't really relevant to our service. Only 1 click though.
However the relevant searches did get a good few impressions but didn't get a single click. I guess that is going to have something to do with the sudden change.
Seems a bit harsh to take action with only 1 click ...
Hi Amelia
Interestingly the bounce rate for the page that has dropped is lower than the Homepage. Landing page has a 25% bounce rate while the Homepage is 26.46%.
Average time on page is slightly lower than the Homepage. The only issue here is this was a relatively new landing page and there are older ones that are actually ranking higher with much higher bounce and exit rates. In fact one of the pages that has been ranked #3 for the past month has a bounce rate of over 60%!
The only trend I am noticing is the "time on page" being higher on the landing pages that haven't been effected. I guess this is coming down to a user engagement issue as you suggest. I'll try some more provocative wording to see if that helps although now there will be little to no clicks on the effected landing pages as they have dropped so low!
Thank you for your thoughts
**** UPDATE
After doing a little more comparison it appears that the time on page theory has no weight either as the high ranking pages all have pretty low time on page also... back to the think tank lol.
Hi Moz People
Happy new year to all, I have an interesting one here.
I have recently been making some landing pages and they have all pretty much hit page 1 for the search terms I've focused on (UK Domain).
Up until this morning the landing page was the 8th organic result on the UK domain. However I have checked this morning and the landing page has dropped below the top 50 and instead our homepage is now showing as the last organic result on page 1.
This is intriguing to me as it has also happened to a couple of other landing pages I have made. Is this due to the relevance being driven higher by the landing pages but overall the homepage is more important to Google? Do you guys think this might start happening to the other pages that I have created? Any input would be appreciated!
( Ill give you links and search terms if you want to take a look for yourselves but I try to refrain from "self advertising" )
Happy Thursday Mozzers !
I had this problem exactly and it turns out it was an index file on the server for the old page.
It was the only temporary redirect on the site so it was driving me mad and I wanted rid of it! FTP onto the server and check the folder for the old page which will likely contain an index file. the 302 was in there for us.
This is an old question but posting this for people in future.
Same story here. Ranking has dropped from #5 on the search we want, down to #7. DA dropped by 4 and competitors dropped too. Main competitors DA dropped by 9 though!! One of the main differences between our site and our main competitors is the number of outbound links they have. We have around 700 and they have over 20,000. Yet our ranking has dropped but not as much as their DA...
Confused
