HOW TO
Guys and Gals, I have to go on a bit of a rant here. I know SEO is not easy. I know it's hard work. I know you need to get an SEO to do a great job for you so that you can succeed in todays online environment. I have been learning about SEO for about 4 years now and have gotten semi-knowledgeable on the subject. It seems like when I get links, they aren't good enough for google. I may do a guest post, etc. I have really good content that ranks well for long tail keywords that people do search for, BUT I can't seem to rank for the keywords that I want which is not that hard to do. I feel my biggest problem is content and link bait. I am in real estate. Yes I can write how to articles and unique pages on real estate topics but even when I do, it doesn't pull in links. HOW DO I GET IT IN FRONT OF PEOPLE THAT WILL LINK TO ME??? If I am trying to rank for "oxford real estate" do I need to simply keep writing articles that are pretty similar in topic to this phrase? What am I missing?

Lots of duplicate content warnings
I have a site that says that I have 2,500 warnings. It is a real estate website and of course we use feeds. it says I have a lot of duplicate content. One thing is a page called "Request an appointment" and that is a url for each listing. Since there are 800 listings on my site. How could I solve this problem so that this doesn't show up as duplicate content since I use the same "Request an Appointment" verbeage on each of those? I guess my developer who used php to do it, created a dedicated url to each. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Asking to remove links from other sites
How hard is it to get people to take off links that point to your site that are on theirs? I have about 4 sites that I would like my link OFF of their blogroll because I think I was hit by the penguin update because of that. Do you know if there is anything you can do if they DON'T take it off?
