Does anyone have an infographic to explain how social media increases any lift in the SERP's. I just am not grasping how if I re tweet a link that the search enegines see this and say "this must be important" let rank it higher..

what I just noticed it that seomoz goes with the "seomoz.org" to the "www" version. Does anyone else see that?
Can someone please tell me the 100% correct way to set this up. Would I be right to set up a site this way...
type in the browser..."example.com" and it re directs to "www.example.com.
or,
if i type in "example.com" it goes to example.com.
or if I type in "www.example.com" it goes to "example.com"?
or, type in "www.example.com" and it goes to "example.com"
wouldn't most site link to a "www" version?
PS
whay isn;t the correct way set up by our HOST.? They should know what is most beneficial?
Thanks
ok, I have been optimizing a sit for a while and decided to drop the flash site build an HTML site instead for obvious reasons. But, as I was building the new site, BANG! a big jump in Google rank? How can this be, I thought out loud. Must be all my anchor text kicking in...So, I am left with this question...Or did google pick up on my new site as I was building it. I build it on a new DNS, then revert back to the main DNS...
Drop the HTML site and continue my link getting with the main site? Or chalk it up under something else and roll with new site.
I hope that was not to confusing
we always adapt...why is this change any different that "panda" or what they called the "google slap" back in the day...we move forward with the only game in town and adjust..\
I see no cause for alarm..
Are you talking about "google local" results with place pages? Specifically?
google "traffic geyser" and see what that tool uploads to...then just go and check em out.
hello,
Did you have a chance to watch the first 20 minutes of Will Renolds Preso here at SEO moz...I think its called smoking hot content creation...Or something like that...he has a few ecommerce examples right out of the gate...I have used them already and they work well...So far!
using a tool like RoboForm helps outs...this can really help with alll the PW's...
Maybe I am wrong, but I think with SEmoz, the $199 monthly accunt will let you do what you like...
Great! thanks for all the info! I guess my mentality needs a shift. I get so focused on what google wants rather than the user. I will start my day from that mind set today.
thanks
thanks, with that said! It would be fair to say that "anchor text" in a FB link really doesn't matter. What matters is the quality of the traffic to "XYZ.com". Then if the bounce is 99%, I would not see an bump in rank...OR bounce rate wouldn't apply here?
thanks...firebug works great...
If they are no follow, how can I benefit? If Google isn't using this data, than why would we bother to LIKE anyone or anybody?
If someone wants to trade links, how can I be sure the link is followed?
My clients site in in flash! I am taking it down and building an all HTML site. the domain is 11 years old and google has only indexed 3 pages...Yikes! My question is that when I rebuild the site and optimize it for certain keywords and get my placement moved higher and then switch back in 6 months to the all flash site. Will I lose my gained rank?
