I agree with Ikkie,

My company have just gone through this as we went up against a competitor that offer custom HTML. We won the contract based on the fact that cost was a deciding factor.

Forgetting the initial cost of the website design and build we where very up front with the client regarding changes that they would need to have done moving forward.

Ikkie is right, with a HTML Custom site, you will have to pay for all of the amends to the site moving forward which over time can begin to add up.

There are some great templates out their for Wordpress that you can really make your own. I personally recommend looking a the Genesis Framework and a few of the templates available.

This is absolutely no problem at all. An example of this would be directories registration for Google Local optimization.

1 factor Google local takes into consideration when ranking websites is to scan the amount of times that the address appears in search results. This is the reason we optimize online directories which are essentially duplicates of your address on multiple sites.

For all intensive purposed I would say if is more likely to give a positive effect rather than a negative.

Hi Shervin,

I have to agree with the comment below, we have tested this theory a number of times to include Geo results as well as secondary keywords and so far all of the results have conclusively shown that Google will pick up multiple keywords as you have described above.

Geo results are something that we are currently using with most of our landing pages. Although Google is intelligent enough to prioritize your keyword and landing page for people searching that are located in Arizona I would always include the Geo in the keyword for searchers from elsewhere in the country, for example if someone in Florida is searching for "termite inspections", most of their results will return local results, unless you rank for the keyword very well nationally you will not get a look in, secondly they probably done want an Arizona company anyway.

If someone searches "termite inspections Arizona", it will be classed as a much less competitive keyword being made up of 3 words rather than 2. This means nationally and locally you have a better chance of hitting your target audience and as a bonus you will continue to rank for "termite inspections" nationally.

I think your client brings up some valid points. As I am sure you are aware, from an SEO perspective, any links to competitors products ads the risk of losing the visitor to your site.

When structuring a piece of content like you are at he moment, have you though about something like "Our Top 10 Running shoes for this summer" but only include your current products. Otherwise I would look at informative content that supports the products USP. For example if the shoe in question is designed to support the runners ankle then I would do an article on "Attention all Runner! 10 ways to protect your ankles this summer". Obviously reward to get the keyword at the beginning and all of the other technical content marketing standard practices.

Looking at your site I cant see a great deal of issues with it at all. A few things that I always swear by is to remember the basics. Although there is a lot on ongoing debate as to whether a H1 on the site is useful, it does give the page a key focus.

With regards to the content on your page, it all looks great but as you have not specified a H1 I would worry about the use of your brand name within the content.

I have done some analysis and I can see you Brand name appears 202 times on your home page, this may be seen from search engines as intentionally stuffing so my advice would be to remove the excessive us of the brand name.

It's a very good question and it is currently a way that companies are trying to "Cheat the system". From what I have experienced in the past, the company in question are just making the best of Schema as it is meant to be used. For this reason they are theoretically not doing anything wrong in Google's eyes.

If there reviews are genuine then there is no reason why they can not be used and your client is within their right to use the same tactic.

If you are genuinely worried that this client is doing something wrong or unethical/fraudulent I would give Google a call directly and raise it with one of the technical team. I would mention that you have seen the site using this and provide them with the example, just explain that you are thinking of using the technique but you wanted to check first that you are not doing anything wrong.

The team at Google on phone support are great and they have always been able to help with any questions I have had in the past.

Really loving the new tool, I have created keyword groups but I would like to know the accuracy especially in the UK.

When setting up a campaign there are options to monitor Google GB & Google UK, would using one or the other, or even both give different results for keywords?
