No. You won't have any problem SEO wise, but be very careful on the website speed and time loading. That could make some type of tehnical problems, by making the website slower and having server errors. Otherwise no problems at all

If you have canonical you can put all the links, because in this way Google-Bot will crawl all the pages and see easier which have canonical and which is unique.

Deeplinking problem
Hello,
I have a problem with the deeplinking between my website (http://www.nobelcom.com) and my app (nobelapp). When I search the app from the mobile, on Google, it sends me to the play store, even if the app is instaled.
Can someone explain what I need to do on the website, and what i need to do on the mobile app so the deeplinking will work, in an easier way the Google documentation?
I have on the homepage this rel alternate but still doesn't work.

RE: Rankings drop from the new update
I've made a disavow, and I keep an eye for bad link every month. We had a manual penalty and solve it in July. I see rankings downs for "phone cards" "calling cards", "international phone card", "international calling card" and other variations, and it happen from 10-13 January, when the new core algo was released.

RE: Rankings drop from the new update
It is normal that the number of pages to drop, that was my idea, because the old urls,nobelcom.com/caling from/calling to, were redirected with 301 to the ones like http://nobelcom.com, so the dropping of the pages was normal, and I wanted that, to reduce the dilution.
No manual action, no bad link, I check my link profile every 2 weeks.

Rankings drop from the new update
Hello,
I've noticed some big ranking downs on important keywords, from the last Google update, and don't really know what seams to be the problem, but have an assumption. In April 2015 we had 3.000.000 pages indexed by Google, and 80% of them had duplicated content for about 90% of it. The site I'm talking about is http://nobelcom.com/. The duplicated content came from variations between calling from and calling to selections, because each of this selection was making a new url (ex. nobelcom.com/caling from/calling to). If "calling from" and calling to were the same country the url was nobelcom.com/calling-from, but after you chosen another calling to, the url become like the one in the example. To solve this I've decided to keep the nobelcom.com/calling-from urls and for different calling to country to display the content trough a javascript, because it was the same, it changed only the country names and the rates. I thought that this change will help us with the duplicate content, and still deliver our client what they are interested in, without affecting the UX, and also reducing the link juice dilution because we had 3.000.000 indexed by Google and most of them with no added value
Can this be the reason for the drops? Now we have 590.000 pages indexed by Google.

I know about the demote, but I was wondering if is any other solution. More like to tell google that the link from an entire section shouldn't be added in the sitelinks

Sitelinks problem
Hello,
I have a problem with the sitelinks on my website. Google keeps adding pages that don't belong in the sitelinks, but need to be indexed. Is there a way in which I can specify to the bot which section of the website, not to add in the sitelinks.

Doctype language declaration problem
Hello,
I have a problem with an SEM Rush warning on a website audit, for www.enjoyprepaid.com. It tells me "5852 pages are lacking language declaration", but I don't understand what it means and how to actually fix this problem. Also I run a W3 validator and have a doctype and language problem but again don't understand what they mean and how to fix them https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.enjoyprepaid.com%2FAfghanistan-calling-cards-2.html -

Crawl rate drop

RE: Should I include unnecessary pages in the sitemap.xml
One of the main problem is that there are a lot of such pages (aprox. 2-3 milions) and my indexation rate is really slow for a site this big. The old sitemap structure was to complex, and I wanted so simplify it, so Google wiil crawl only the important pages

Should I include unnecessary pages in the sitemap.xml
I have a lot of pages that I don't want Google to index, so for most of them, I used cannonical, were they were duplicates, noindex were I wanted to remove the pages, but the question is: Should I include these pages in the sitemap.xml, or just the important pages?
Also should I include them in order to get the changes indexed fastet by Google?

Removing a large number of unnecessary pages from a site
Hi all,
I got a big problem with my website. I have a lot of page, duplicate page made from various combinations of selects, and for all this duplicate content we've be hit by a panda update 2 years ago.
I don't want to bring new content an all of these pages, about 3.000.000, because most of them are unnecessary. Google indexed all of them (3.000.000), and I want to redirect the pages that I don't need anymore to the most important ones.
My question, is there any problem in how google will see this change, because after this it will remain only 5000-6000 relevant pages?

Disavow question
Hi there,
I have 2 website's, and one of them will be redirected to the other. For both I need to do a disavow list, but I don't know how is better. I should make only one disavow list for the main site, and include the link from the site that I will redirect, or make a list for each website?

RE: Nofollow on the logo
I forgot to mention a thing. Beside the logo, I have a home button and also you can get to the home trought the breadcrumbs links.
The nofollow was put there by a previous SEO, to limit the bot to get to homepage.

Nofollow on the logo
Hi
I'm working on this site: www.nobelcom.com and on the logo I have a rel=nofollow. Do you think I should keep it, and is so way, or I should remove the nofollow (why?)

RE: Affiliate links vs. seo (updated 19.02.2014)
Thanks for the insight Everett,
That's what I'm afraid of - the 'benefit' at the domain-level.
That's the plan: the affiliates to update their links, but I'm sure the process will not be very fast. -
RE: URL rewrite traffic drop
Hi Lynn and thanks for your input,
1. No content, only url changes. Our main focus was to get better results for queries like 'xxx phone cards' and also for spanish queries like 'Mexico tarjetas telefonicas' (before the update the spanish urls contained english words..)
2. We started the link profile cleaning and we're still working on it (removed a big amount of 'bad links', disavowed others)

Affiliate links vs. seo (updated 19.02.2014)
UPDATE - 19.02.2014:
Hi,
We got another negative answer from Google pointing again to our affiliate links, so the 301 redirect and block was not enough.
I understand the need of contacting all of them and ask for the nofollow, we've started the process, but it will take time, alot of time.So I'd like to bring to your attention another 2 scenarious I have in mind:
1. Disavow all the affiliate links.
Is it possible to add big amount of domains (>1000) to the disavow doc.? Anyone tryed this?2. Serve 404 status for urls coming from affiliates that did not add noffolow attribute.
This way we kinda tell G that content is no longer available, but we will end up with few thousand 404 error pages.
The only way to fix all those errors is by 301 redirecting them afterwards (but this way the link juice might 'restart' flowing and the problem might persist).Any input is welcomed.
Thanks
Hi Mozers,
After a reconsideration request regarding our link profile, we got a 'warning' answer about some of our affiliate sites (links coming from our affiliate sites that violate Google's quality guidelines).
What we did (and was the best solution in trying to fix the 'seo mistake' and not to turn off the affiliate channel) was to 301 redirect all those links to a /AFFN/ folder and block this folder from indexing.
We're still waiting for an answer on our last recon. request.I want to know you opinion about this? Is this a good way to deal with this type of links if they're reported? Changing the affiliate engine and all links on the affiliate sites would be a big time and technical effort, that's why I want to make sure it's truly needed.
Best,
Silviu -
URL rewrite traffic drop
Hello,
A while ago (Sep. 19 2013) we had a new url structure upgrade for products pages within our website (with all the needed 301 redirects in place, internal links & sitemaps updates), but our new urls lost the serps of the old ones and with that we experienced a big traffic drop (and since September I can't see any sign of recovery).
Here are just 3 examples of old and coresponding new urls:http://www.nobelcom.com/phone-cards/calling-Mexico-from-United-States-1-182.html
http://www.nobelcom.com/Mexico-phone-cards-182.htmlhttp://www.nobelcom.com/es/phone-cards/calling-Mexico-from-United-States-1-182.html
http://www.nobelcom.com/es/Mexico-tarjetas-telefonicas-182.htmlhttp://www.nobelcom.com/phone-cards/calling-Angola-Cell-from-Canada-55-407.html
http://www.nobelcom.com/Angola-Cell-phone-cards/from-Canada-55-407.htmlWe followed every seo/usability rule and have no clue why this happened.
Any ideea?
Cheers,

RE: 301 redirect relative or absolute path?
Thank you for the tip Ari, but our website is not using apache and htaccess, so the rules are written in another language, but I'm sure this is not important.
The http status of the old urls is 301 to the new relative paths /new-url.html
and this is where my problem is:
Should the destination url (the new one) be relative or absolute?Silviu

301 redirect relative or absolute path?
Hello everyone,
Recently we've changed the URL structure on our website, and of course we had to 301 redirect the old urls to the coresponding new ones.
The way the technical guys did this is:
"http://www.domain.com/old-url.html" 301 redirect to "/new-url.html"
meaning as a relative redirect path, not an absolute one like this:
"http://www.domain.com/old-url.html" 301 redirect to "http://www.domain.com/new-url.html"This happened for few thousands urls, and the fact is the organic traffic dropped for those pages after this change. (no other changes were made on these pages and the new urls are as seo friendly as possible, A grade on On-Page Grader).
The question is: does the relative redirect negatively affects seo, or it counts the same as an absolute path redirect?
Thanks,

RE: Which is better? Remove folder or fix the links and wait?
Thanks for the input.
I was thinking about removing the folder by blocking the pages from robots txt. In the meantime I can fix the all the errors and once that's done I'll have everything back up.
My main concern is that if I do that now even more duplicate content will show :). Would it be better if I allow the search engines some time to de-index these pages and come back with the fixed verion afterwards?

Which is better? Remove folder or fix the links and wait?
Dear Mozers,
Recently I added a new language to one of my sites in a new folder (www.site.com/es/) but for some reasons many links got broken or were simply sending to a wrong page. This caused a bad indexing and it also showed a lot of duplicate content.
I know how to fix it but my question is this: Is it better to remove the second language folder, fix it and then put it back up after a few months or just fix it now as it is and wait for G to come back and index the new links?
