Thanks so much. Our DA in Moz is currently just 20. GWT shows that exactly 1000 pages have been submitted via sitemap and 853 of these are indexed. I do have some NOINDEX, FOLLOW items as well so perhaps those are increasing the gap as well. How does this number sound? Not that bad I guess?

At the moment it seems like I shouldn't use NOINDEX even though the descriptions might be similar. I should rather use Related Products and try to get more reviews instead.

There must be a way to increase DA of our domain since we have like 1000 products. I guess something else is stopping our site from becoming better ranked. Perhaps it's the lack of reviews and more unique pages meaning related products as well....?

Thank you so much, Ryan. Very helpful. But if I have products with similar descriptions or some even with exactly the same descriptions, just the titles and images being different, will Google de-rank our overall website or more likely simply avoid listing the duplicates?

As far as I have understood, it's useful to add different Related Products and Upsell items to the similar products just to make the HTML code more different and unique even if the descriptions are the same... Ofcourse customer reviews would also help a bunch. Isn't this how Amazon products and eBay items with very short and not that unique descriptions still get listed in Google?

I am adding a bunch of similar category stickers and I am not looking into that good SEO for these since there will be hundreds of them coming but I just want to include the relevant keywords that people perhaps use in the Google image search to take them to our site. They are all related to JDM (Japanese Domestic Motors) so I decided to include JDM at the end of all the SEO titles. I am writing totally different short descriptions for all of these stickers and the Related Products are changing as well. I just want to achieve something like Amazon or eBay listings do - not the perfect SEO since I cannot spend too much time with each sticker optimizing it but I don't want to NOINDEX, FOLLOW them either - hence the different related products for all items and also unique short descriptions. We are selling about 1000 sticker products in our online store and would like to expand a large part of our products lineup to eBay as well. There are pretty good modules for this as I've heard. I'm just wondering if there will be duplicate content problems if I sync the products between Magento and eBay and they get uploaded to eBay with identical titles, descriptions and images? What's the workaround in this case? Thanks!

Since we have a lot of similar products with duplicate descriptions, I decided to NOINDEX, FOLLOW most of these different variants which have duplicate content. However, I guess it would be useful in marketing terms if Google image search still listed the images of the products in image search. How does the image search of Google actually work - does it read the NOINDEX on the product page and therefore skip the image also or is the image search completely dependent on the ALT tag of any image found on our site?

Since I subscribed to Moz my Magento store has given a lot of duplicate content issues. However, I did have a problem with Canonical URL at the time. It has been settled for a couple of weeks by now and although I had 302 redirects before, I configured Magento to 301 today. Since Moz has been crawling and showing duplicate content for exactly the same Magento pages but with endings like store=us, store=aus etc (since I have several store views enabled), I am wondering whether canonical URL does actually help Google to skip these versions of the duplicate pages and does Moz also understand it and will it reduce the amount of duplicate content errors once the 301 redirects and canonical URLs have been properly set for a week or so?

I'm experiencing some heavy duplicate content Crawl errors on Moz with www.redrockdecals.com and therefore I really need some help. It brings up different connections between products and I'm having a hard time figuring out what it means.

1. It is listing the same products as duplicate content but they have different URL endings. For example:http://www.redrockdecals.com/car-graphics/chevrolet-silverado?___store=nl&___from_store=us

I am planning to write new and unique descriptions for all products but what do you suggest - should I either remove the long same descriptions or just shorten them perhaps so they don't outweigh the short but unique descriptions above? I've heard search engines understand that some parts of the page can be same on other pages but I wonder if in my case this has gone too deep...

I am already working on the license plate pages and will see how it goes after I have written unique descriptions for all of them. As I understand it's OK if the titles are like Custom Albania License Plate, Custom United Kingdom License Plate etc if I write totally unique descriptions below the H1 title and use the keyword like "albania license plate" throughout the description twice perhaps.

I got two more questions...

1. Any good tips how to optimize or deal with products like this http://www.redrockdecals.com/car-flame-decal-sticker-721 ? The flame decals are actually really similar to each other but they must be presented in a catalog form so I cannot combine them onto a single page with a dropdown or anything like that. And even if I write unique descriptions it's really weird to write totally different titles for them. I wonder if I should just NOINDEX them?

2. Why is our Domain Authority only 20? Is it because of the overall poor optimization? Should it improve if I have half of the pages optimized in a better way?

Thank you! But how about using two keywords for one product category - for example Aircraft Stickers, Aircraft Graphics? Is it a bad idea or can it be implemented?

We're running a rather new website at www.redrockdecals.com and we sell mainly sticker products. I would just like to clarify on something that is bugging me and I just can't go forward with other products until I know the answers. I'd appreciate the help so much.

1. We sell for example license plate products for different European countries. I have figured out the best title for the page would be for example "Custom Catalonia License Plate" and the primary keyword in this is Catalonia license plate since that's what actually gets some searches from Google and therefore I have used that without the word "custom" in the product description text. I guess it's a good idea to write totally different description texts for all of these license plate pages so that's what I've been doing. Now the question is - does google accept the fact that I have different product titles like Custom Catalonia License Plate, Custom Germany License Plate etc so just the country name differs on all of these pages? Or should I play around with the titles and word orders also?

2. There is one part on the product page where we describe for example the temperature ranges and other specifications about the sticker material as you can see here: http://www.redrockdecals.com/custom-slovakia-license-plate Is it ok to copy-paste that text to all of the pages if the short descriptions on top of the product page are different?
