My background is in architecture and urban design, but have been doing programming since the early 80's and HTML since the 90's while in college. I made the transition to marketing and worked at Yahoo! in the PPC group and worked closely with the paid inclusion team, where my interest in SEO began. I later left to run an agency that provided paid inclusion, SEO and PPC services. I've also worked internally managing marketing for Ecommerce, dating and B2B enterprise software companies. I've also had my own company that developed social media and traffic projects.

At Moz I manage product development for our data products, including our Mozscape API. I love using data to drive marketing results. If I can build tools to do this, and at large scale I am even happier.
