Tough question! Ignoring both seomoz and distilled I'd probably go for:

RE: SEO sites were blasted by Panda
Hmm - not sure I'm trusting those graphs. SEOmoz didn't see any change one way or the other with Panda...

RE: What should we include in the updated developers SEO cheat sheet?
This is a great point - I'd love to include some HTML5 goodness in there.

Yeah, all of these data providers are a little suspect. Especially compete!

What should we include in the updated developers SEO cheat sheet?
Hey folks,
Do you all remember the developer's SEO cheat sheet? It's super awesome. But it's also a little old.
What super awesome ideas do you have for the updated version?
What should we include? What should we take out?
Any developers around - what SEO knowledge would you most like to see in a cheat sheet?
Thanks!

Which pieces of content in the online marketing/social media space were the very best of the best in the past 12 months?
As you may be aware - SEOmoz are hiring for a marketing oracle (one of 8 jobs going at the moment: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/8-open-positions-at-seomoz). Their key responsibility will be to produce world class content about online marketing, seo and social media.
So, let ask you - what are the best examples of content in this space from the past 12 months? The very best of the best. Don't just think SEO, but any kind of online marketing content. Whether it's editorial, infographic, research etc etc.

RE: Why isn't link velocity in the 2011 Ranking Factors?
Hi, Tom here - I helped put together the ranking factors this year and you'll find that link velocity is included in the domain level link metrics section:
http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors#metrics-1
It actually rated pretty highly!

RE: Which A/B test software do you prefer? Howcome?
Depends on your use case but this is a good resource:
Personally I really like VWO: http://visualwebsiteoptimizer.com/ I like the way you don't need heavy code changes to run tests.

Great links Ed! Thanks for sharing. Got any more from the wider online marketing space? I think I see all the good SEO stuff but I'd love to know what's been big that's more similar to the "Poke the box" workbook (which I'm checking out right now...)
Thanks!

This is a good idea - the code needed to embed a twitter/facebook widget would be useful as this is a common SEO task.

RE: Use SEOmoz API in Google Docs Spreadsheet
Hey - I've been working with Ian Lurie from Portent and he has a blog post on it's way that details how to do exactly this! Look out for it in the next week or so

Was Panda applied at sub-domain or root-domain level?
Does anyone have any case studies or examples of sites where a specific sub-domain was hit by Panda while other sub-domains were fine?
What's the general consensus on whether this was applied at the sub-domain or root-domain level?
My thinking is that Google already knows broadly whether a "site" is a root-domain (e.g. SEOmoz) or a sub-domain (e.g. tumblr) and that they use this logic when rolling out Panda.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions though?

Why is Benetton ranking with tracking parameters?
For this search:
https://www.google.com/search?q=benetton&pws=0
I see the following URL ranking #1
http://www.benetton.com/?utm_source=centrum.sk&utm_medium=listing
Why is this happening? I could likely figure it out but I'm busy so I was hoping someone could dig around and let me know
Anyone?
Incidentally, Benetton is in the middle of a massive campaign at the moment so it's strange timing for them to have this showing up and screwing with their GA tracking...
EDIT: I should clarify, Benetton is not a client - I don't know anyone who works for or with them. I'm just curious why this is showing up.
