I represent several attorneys in the metro Atlanta area. In doing my research with open site explorer and other tools I am finding that many of the competitors have more that one, if not several personal and branded Google business pages.
So this raises several questions while I go through my Local SEO strategy.
In addition to those questions, I am curious about the various different Google+ pages that are available to business owners.
As of now, I create and cultivate the following Google Pages for my clients:
Upon further review I feel like there are a few steps that I am missing in regards to the Google + pages. Listed below are the links to Local Market leader for Criminal Defense in Woodstock GA. From what I can tell he has 4 separately branded Google+ pages that are all verified.

Should I be taking the same approach?

First of all, I ask a lot of questions of the community and I don't do a lot of answering. For that, I am sorry!
I own a small SEO company and the majority of my clients are upstarts just like myself. We try to do the best we can on a very limited budget.
With that said, the client website in question, http://bestdefensega.com has been a struggle to rank in the metro atlanta lawyer market.
Here's the story. My client is a new solo attorney that practices criminal law and personal injury law. We launched bestdensega.com to focus on criminal defense and my client has also paid AVVO for a website as well. We recently decided to make a monster website that would have 50+ pages and be representative of all that he practices.
I recently put a temporary redirect on bestdefensega.com and pointed it to the avvo website while I was rebuilding the website. I did this using a plugin.
This morning I decided that I wanted to remove the redirect, so I deactivated and deleted the plugin. The redirect is still in effect. I suspect that this may be a cacheing scenario.
How do I undo a redirect?
Also, I noticed that the AVVO site has all of a sudden shot up to the top of the search results and bestdefnesega.com has dropped past the 3rd page for our keywords.
Have I lost all of bestdefensega.com's link juice?
Also, bestdefensega.com has a spam score of 7. Why?
There are no shady links and everything I do is on the up and up.
Also Open Site Explorer says that bestdefensega.com doesn't have any inbound links.
Google WebMaster Tools says that the site has of 500 inbound links..

The reality of the situation is that while my clients know the value of a healthy seo program and the ROI that it can provide, they don't want to spend more than 200/month on the service. So what they get out of me is blogging,citation building, on page optimization and that about sums it up!

I have law clients in the atlanta ga area. I have worked with one client http://bestdefensega.com for the past 4 months trying to get him to the top. We blog 3 times a week, have manually built citations and legal directory profiles. My client doesn't have a large budget to purchase profiles on some of the larger legal directories like findlaw, lexus nexus etc..
With that said,
Using Open Site Explorer I have discovered that his competition all have multiple business websites pointed back to their main websites.. So each law office has several really generic websites in addition to their main site. Other's appear to be receiving links from some type of link farm and really generic directory sites.
The domains of these guy's are older and more established. Where as, my client has a new practice and a new domain.
How do I compete in the local market without a budget for the premium legal directories?
So after 4 months my client appears in the local pack search results for only select keywords. Criminal defense attorney woodstock ga. His competition appears in the results for all variations, where my client only shows for this one term.
How do I get me client in the local pack for all variations of Criminal Defense in my area?
According to Moz, my site has a couple spam score issues and the explanations are not clear enough for me to make some types of changes.
**How do I make these changes to reduce the spam score?
My site has more back links than Moz is reporting why?**
All of the other sites that I manage perform well and my clients are realizing their ROI with relative ease. But criminal defense is a different beaat and it is starting to frustrate me. RAR!

I have been tossing the idea in my head of using sub domains for the geo pages for each of my clients.
For example: one of my clients is a lawyer in a very competitive Atlanta market http://bestdefensega.com.
Can I set his geo page to woodstock.bestdefensega.com?
Is this a viable option?
Will I get penalized?
