RE: Moving British site to the US... who will have .com? US or UK?
Thanks Janet. I was afraid you were doing to say that. But it is what I suspected. Any top tips on migration would be much appreciated for moving the British content from .com to .co.uk

RE: Moving British site to the US... who will have .com? US or UK?
Thanks for your answer Janet. Just to clarify the UK launched last November under .com. So I'm slightly unsure on the best approach when I expand to the US. Do I move the UK site to .co.uk to make the .com only for the US? Or do I have the US as .com/US/? Thanks Walid

Moving British site to the US... who will have .com? US or UK?
We are the UK's first baby social commerce site launched in Nov 2011. We're doing quite well and are looking at expanding to the US. However I'm not sure what advice you'd give me in terms of internationalising the site.
I see three options on how to deal with the URL structure?
- Make US site as .com as it will be my main source of revenue for the long run and redirect all British traffic to .co.uk
- Have .com for both UK and US but have the URL as either: us.babyhuddle.com or as babyhuddle.com/us/. Same thing for the UK
- Another option?
Would love to hear the feedback from you guys.
Thanks,
Walid

No we're definitely up to alternative ideas. I'll have a look at DotMailer.

How to get SEO juice from a widget iframe?
Looking at building a widget for my site, Babyhuddle. We're looking at using iframes for the widget and I'm concerned that this means I won't be able to get any SEO juice out of each widgets that are implemented on users' blogs. Any recommendations on how we can get SEO juice out of widgets in iframes?

Thanks Bryce, I like the iFrame suggestion, it's a good one.

RE: Title tag for category page
Hi Dan, That's exactly correct. The category pram has essentially sub categories for pushchairs and strollers which also happen to be the top keywords for Pram thus why I was thinking a title tag for the pram category as Prams | Pushchairs, Strollers | Baby Huddle. What do you think?

RE: Title tag for category page
Thanks Aran, the reason I have the word "buy" is because I have other types of category pages which deal with "Prams" which aren't shopping related. The reason also why I put brand at the end instead of the front is because "Baby Huddle" isn't a recognizable brand and from what I understand you always put your top keyword at the front.

RE: Social Bookmarking as part of an SEO strategy?
Hi Aran,
Social bookmarking is quite essential for any SEO campaign in my opinion. There are many social bookmarking options you can consider such as Facebook, Tweeter, Stumble Upon, Google +, Reddit, Digg...etc. Not only are they a great source of traffic, as Techcrunch recently saw with Google +. SEO Moz also did a good study on the influence of Tweets with regards to SEO called A Tweet's effect on rankings.
I personally would recommend the following: Facebook Like/Share, Stumble Upon, Twitter and Google +. But you have to make your decision based on the audience your site is targeting.
Cheers,
Walid
I'm the founder of Baby Huddle, the soon to launch baby social commerce site. Previously I co-founded TrustedPlaces.com which was recently acquired by Yell
