Im trying to figure out the difference in this and guest blogging. If legit effort is put into the articles and pages when they are posted how is it any different than guest blogging?

I see that as well. With that in mind would links like this be worth my time? The domain authority is obviously really high but the page authority isnt. Could of course build links into the .edu page and help some but even then is it worth the effort here?

I found this site and was curious if anybody knew if they were legit or quality links in any way.

My site has thousands of legit backlinks (none paid or even built through a service) so I was interested in building a greater diversity from domain extensions and thought edu links would be good. However most edu pages I find that allow any links are SPAMMED hard and not worth my time.

Is your site new? Its probably cause you have no links and you cannot get PR with no links.

Have you done anything to be blocked by Google?

Invalid code has a small effect on ranking. However, if the invalid code causes usability issues such as load time and or causes a high bounce rate then it can lower your rankings and of course cut back on conversions.

Some of it is a higher priority than others. I would say defo remove the meta keywords.

Combine JS pages. The tables while out of date is not a big issue.

If you have the time and resources then yes it should be cleaned up. If not then clean up major problems

I do a ton of guest blogging. Most of my experiences with it is positive. I is a slow process to write unique content and to find a high quality site to post it on but the links are great and help a lot.

Some negatives - some blog owners will be extremely picky and send back for tons of revisions, but that does not happen often. Also have some sites that shut down after you write for them.

I normally have 1 or 2 links per article. Maybe one in context (if applicable) and one in a bio line. I will generally do 2 links if I can get it to work for 2 different sites of a similar niche.

I do not check PR but I do check domain authority and backlinks to make sure its a high quality site.

The last company I worked for (ch e ck n Go) was developing a huge script that would rip thousands of pages of content, replace various words with theirs, put in their links, and mass publish hundreds to thousands of these pages a day.

Very unethical and very pathetic.

Write high quality content and do the work.

Half the pages on there have closed comments or are nofollow. Ive never seen a tool or software that guarantees Dofollow links that actually works.

Another question - is when I have used those find do follow tools I often find .edu pages but there will be hundreds of comments with spammed links cause of its weight. If I find a edu or non edu page with tons of links like that is it even worth my time to try commenting on it?

Is this still a good way of getting backlinks? I do not plan on making it my only method. Most of my backlinking is done through content creation, press releases, and guest blogging.

But looking for some variety in there that can be done quicker.

Is it even worth the time or are the links too spammy now?

If I did I would actually hand build the links and comment to the article.
