I faced the same with my website. I created authority links on my website that related to famous food but I did not see improvement on my website, but after almost two months my website authority increased as well as my page authority. So what I suggest is that you just follow your link-building strategy and wait after a few months to check da pa of your website.

You can use the DA PA Checker tool that provides MOZ metrics data. Or you can use moz.com.
You have to Singup with MOZ account.
Moz website's interface is user friendly so you don't need to worry about it.
Once you land on MOZ website.
On the header, you get a Free SEO Tool button.
You just click on the button after that you Domani Analysis in the first row
Click on Domain Analysis
Here you would get your results about your domain
