Right, "sell xgadget" would be the same as "sell redwidget" or "sell (brand name)".

What's the best URL structure?
I'm setting up pages for my client's website and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this. Which of the following would be best (let's say the keywords being used are "sell xgadget" "sell xgadget v1" "sell xgadget v2" "sell xgadget v3" etc.).
Domain name: sellgadget.com
Potential URL structures:
1. sellxgadget.com/v1
2. sellxgadget.com/xgadget-v1
3. sellxgadget.com/sell-xgadget-v1Which would be the best URL structure? Which has the least risk of being too keyword spammy for an EMD? Any references for this?

Using cononical tag instead of 301
I've got a bit of an odd situation... My business partner and I split up, and he's going to keep the company name. The website that I built for the company has some links to it, and I've managed to build up some DA and PA.
I want to get the link juice over to my new website. My former partner doesn't care about the link juice, he just wants a website that he can show people. SO, I can't do a 301 or 302, because that would take down the existing site. Can I just use a canonical tag that refers link power to my new website? Would this be harmful in any way? What should I do to accomplish getting the link power without a redirect, and without contacting each person who has given us a backlink?
I love snowboarding, Surfing and MMA. Those are my favorite sports and I'll continue to do them until it kills me
I'm also an actor (I have been for several years). It's one of my favorite things to do! I started in theater as a kid and went into improv in my early adult years. I began writing and performing in sketch comedy. It wasn't until my mid 20's that I got myself an agent and went on auditions for commercials and TV. Although I've booked work as an actor, I took up SEO as an effort to create a more stable income.
I started SEO in 2013 with a company called Spiderhouse. While I was there, I learned a lot of the basics of SEO. I became good at SEO after studying Brian Dean's course (SEO That Works). I wasn't interested in black hat, so this course was perfect. Since then I started my own SEO company. We're called Zing Marketing!
Although I love SEO and I've started a company, I still fully intend to be an actor. Why not do both!?
