Linking within a website advice please
-
Hi i am working on my site which is a lifestyle magazine and i have been reading about using linking within your own website to help you climb up the search engines. Now i am trying to find out if this is correct information and if so which is the best way to use this.
I have an example page below, as stated i am still working on the site and the site will still take me a few more weeks yet.
http://www.in2town.co.uk/news/soap-gossip/eastenders-fans-not-happy-over-tanya-plot
Now if it is correct that linking from within a site is a good way to climb the search engines, i would like to know how i would do it for this page.
I am looking at climbing the search engines for soap gossip and celebrity news.
I was thinking should i have a line at the bottom saying something like for all the latest celebrity news visit our site or something like this.
any advice would be great

I am not sure what you are asking, but let me try ...
Let's take your home page and the "target page." I would not use the page you specified above as that doesn't have the targeted content. Instead I would use
http://www.in2town.co.uk/news/soap-gossip which could be developed as an excellent landing page for the terms you identified.
On your home page, you might have a line that reads: Want the latest news about your favorite stars; check out our posts on <start link="">celebrity news <end link="">and soap gossip.</end></start>
Elsewhere on your site I would link to the target page with similar content and links, only you might use 'soap gossip' as the anchor text. Some SEOs believe that the content around the link has 'juice" as well ... so you don't necessarily have to use the trageted terms as anchor text.
Does that help?

That is great to hear. How would i on that page use the linking system. I am wanting to gain linking for celebrity news, lifestyle magazine and soap gossip

Internal linking is an effective factor in SEO. Using your targeted phrase as anchor text in a contextually linked content from a strong page(s) is part of that strategy. Navigation links with the targeted phrase are also useful.

Is it bad for international SEO to redirect CcTLDs and install Google website translator plugin to the primary domain (UK)?
We've bought lots of country extensions, e.g. .es, .fr, .in, .me, etc. Rather than employing translators, will it be acceptable for SEO to install the google translate plugin to the site, and 301 redirect the country extensions to the .com address?

Best way to prevent "Duplicate Content" for different links
We are working on job portal domain. As we know jobs going to be expired day by day. I will give you my question by example. Example: I have two links [mysite.com/Jobs-In-Cincinnati and mysite.com/Jobs-In-Atlanta]. Before month I had too many jobs on both the links. Jobs were expired one by one after two/three months I don't have any jobs on both the links. So I got same page content on both the links like "please refine search". Google consider these two pages as duplicate content issue. Will you please suggest which is the best way to come out from it? Thanks in advance.

Google crawled "Cross Domain" links. Is this an issue? if yes then how we can remove it?
We have two sites. One site for US (site.com)and another is for India(site.co.in). Redirection is working based on ip address and location. So if I write US(site.com) site link in India location then it will automatically redirect to India site(site.co.in). We have given a link in the header of the site which will be used to open another country site. Example : Currently India site open in my browser so it contain US site link. and US site open in my browser so it contain India site link. We check on google web master and we found back links of cross domains so Is it an issue?

Will google believe my website has plagiarised if I publish news that is published on a newswire?
I use newswires to publish press releases or articles for clients. Almost all are published on one site such as PRWeb and picked up by newspapers/publishers. Each of these pieces reference the source as PRWeb (for example). Each press release is then added to the company website. Do I run the risk of search engines believing this to be plagiarised if not referenced to the 'original source' being PR Web? Thanks
