Google showing malware attack, how to remove ?
-
Someone just reported that our website was showing malware attack page on their browsers.
We checked and saw a bad php code on the above of our index.php file.
We removed it and made it clean.
Still all the visitors are getting malware attack page.
How to fix this ?
Site is already clean.

Hi Soumendra,
Is this resolved? if so, how long did it take to get resolved? Or do you still need some help?
-
Okay, I just checked on Sucuri , Google diagnostics, etc and it says, site is clean , but status is blacklisted by Google.
So, I have to wait for Google now.
Already applied on WMT for review and posted at WMT forums as well.
People at WMT said, it takes few hours to 24 hours only.
-
Might take a couple of days unfortunately, but should be only a few hours.
The malware error is not being produced by people coming to the site specifically, as in it's not being checked and generated each time.
Google itself is probably getting the data from stopbadware (I think) and you'll find it's only on certain browsers as well that subscribe.
Rather than rely on solving the problem through WMT I had better success by tackling a similar problem through the stopbadware (or whatever site it is) channels.
Try accessing the site through bing/google on IE/FF/Chrome/Opera/Safari and see what advice is thrown up during the warning. It should give you a link to the appropriate site to fix things on.
In fact, try going here - http://stopbadware.org/home/reviewinfo - use the tool and then request a check.

Went to Google Webmaster Tools and clicked on SUBMIT SITE FOR REVIEW AGAIN.
Did it.
How much time does it take for this ?

Massive unexplained organic traffic drop; disappeared from Google
Hi there,
Search Behavior | | katelynroberts
Our site has experienced a huge organic traffic drop, specifically from Google. The drop occurred on Feb 19 and I've got no clue why it happened. We have not made any significant changes to the website and it doesn't look like there was an algorithm update last week. We don't have any Google penalties or indexing issues noted, and the drop isn't specific to any particular segment/region/keyword. What am I missing? Any advice or insight is super duper appreciated. Our site is a Wordpress/WooCommerice e-commerce site with a blog and long-standing #1 ranks for keywords related to our main product offering. Screen Shot 2024-02-26 at 3.12.25 PM.png

What would the US traffic increase be for a website YoY if all Google SERP rankings remained the same?
This question has come up a few times with some of our clients and I've spent some time researching this question, but I can't find an answer online so hopefully, someone at MOZ has this data available to them with all the data they collect. The data points that would be needed to answer this question off the top of my head: Increase in the # of Google Searches in the US YoY The decrease in CTR for organic results "10 blue links" which take a searcher off of Google YoY, as Google continues to keep more searchers on Google.com with rich snippets, increased AdWords prominence, AdWords extensions, etc I'm sure this greatly varies per industry, but an average for all industries is all that is needed to answer this client question. Many thanks in advance and I've included a video which hopefully helps to better explain the search "plus/minus" that we can expect to see as SEOs in 2018. WF1yLlJC6LetnpbD3

Privacy Policy requirements for Demos and Interests in Google Analytics
I have a client who is activating the Demographics and Interests in Google Analytics, and I need to provide an appropriate privacy policy, per Google's TOS. Can anybody suggest what to state in the privacy policy? Google says: "If you’ve implemented Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, you must also disclose in your privacy policy: How you use data from Google's Interest-based advertising or 3rd-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interests) with Google Analytics." So, I guess it's advisable to state that the site gathers "3rd-party audience data." Is it enough to say that the info is being used to better understand and communicate with the website visitor?

Under Attack?
Hi, Last Wednesday is saw a sudden increase in webstraffic from google searches, bouncerate went down, New Visits up, traffic doubled... Lasted for about 24 hrs. Traffic mostly from USA. However, user behavior was like a bot. Blazing through pages, at an average of 100 pages per user..... When everything was back to normal, I thought, well. ok, no matter. Actually blamed SEOMOZ Roger bot for it.... Because it were all keywords I had added recently, but Roger doesn't make ajax calls or trigger ga.js But today, its happening again. Traffic increase, users blazing through pages upto 500 pages/user..... Now also coming from Europe. I disabled Google analytics for a while to see if "they" use the code elsewhere, but no. "They" actually are on the site itself. It also shows in webmaster tools, and wmt doesn't need javascript. "They" actually use Google, and now also Yahoo to get to the site, and start blazing through the site. Its robot like behavior, but the browsers seem to have normal user agents, have javascript (and cookies, I think) enabled and come from a very wide range of ip addresses... Is this some sort of (black hat) attack or something? To get me kicked from Google and Yahoo? I must be "someone" who wants to do harm, and gave some bot network a list of keywords? There is a misspelled keyword that is repeated over and over again. Searches in French (and other languages) are performed in India, USA and repeated from various locations.... Now some of "them" with 500 pages per visit... I have no defense. User Agents seem normal, ip's are widespread over the world... referers are Google and Yahoo. What can I do? ???

Google Is Displaying An Alt image tag as my homepage's page title
Google is randomly displaying the alt image tag as the page title for my homepage. It happens when you search for the brand name, but the page title appears as "BrandName Logo" (obviously not "BrandName"). Has anybody seen this happen before?
