One site with one product or multi product website

Lets suppose that i have 10 NICHE products under me. Should i make one site for each product or one site overall.
If i make 1 site for each product i get several advantages

Domain name has keyword
-
Title tags etc will be dedicated to one keyword only.
Disavantage - Backlinking for each domain will become tougher.
Advantage of one site onl

Good management
-
Seo / backlinks becomes easier
-
Blogging to attract traffic becomes easier

Can target a lot of keywords through business blogging
Disadvantages
- Can become messy with unimportant keywords gaining importance.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK??? One site per product or One site for all products?

No.. All the products are related and they wall under the same product category. I guess u are right. By starting separate websites, i can miss reference business as well. As in a customer needing one product, might just need another as well.

A variety of products can rank well if they are well SEO'd.
If the products are related I'd put them together on one site. If they were ten totally unrelated products - for example, toe scratchers and garden gnomes, I'd be more inclined to create 10 sites. After all, you'll want to incorporate social media and develop content for your potential customers that is relevant or related to the products you are selling.

It definitely helped. I was gonna go that with the primary seo strategy. But then i was confused whether i shud have one product specific domain itself. Lets c. Will try this strategy and i think it should work.

You can have a website architecture like:
domain.com/productnamespecifickeyword.html
- okay you will need to optimize that one 
and then target productnamespecifickeyword.html with links which have productnamespecifickeyword as anchor text

Thanks a lot for the answer. But if i have multi products in one domain, will all the keywords rank high??? As in i want to rank high for 10 keywords on the same domain, should i change the anchor text during backlinking?

Hi Hitesh,
I would go for one domain.
Creating a lot of mini-sites maybe will help you in short term... BUT if you are going for long term, then you should focus on creating a larger websites. Focus on creating 1 page for each product and target it to the specific page.
With less effort you can benefit of link building for one domain. Don't forget to do a keyword mapping.

One Company, Two Brands with Two Blogs, but One WP Panel for Blog?
I work with a company that has 2 brands. Both brands have separate sites (currently on a WP multisite install). We want each brand to have its own blog, but for ease of content creation have ONE wp install to create the blog content and depending on what category is clicked (Brand 1 and/or Brand 2), it will publish to that sites blog. 2 questions: 1. Is one WP install for blog syndication for 2 separate sites advisable (as client is requesting)? Or should we just bite the bullet and have each site have it's separate posting through it's own WP install? 2. Sometimes one blog post will be published to BOTH blogs (i.e. category Brand 1 and Brand 2 clicked OR if we use two separate wp installs for each site, publish to both blogs). Is using a rel=canonical for the original post (we need to decide which brand takes precedence) sufficient to overcome duplicate content problem? Thanks in advance! Stephan

On-Site Optimization Issue!
Hello, I have some confusion about how to structure my site to better in on-site optimization. I am using WordPress. Therefore, there are many things that I need to consider as following: Static Page for homepage OR Latest posts? Archive, Category, Author, Attachment and Tag pages - To put meta robots (no index, follow) or not to prevent duplication? If I use Static Page for homepage, do I need to add meta robots (no index, follow) to POINT 2 above or not? If I use Latest Posts for homepage, do I need to add meta robots (no index, follow) to POINT 2 above or not? To have breadcrumb or not? To have recent posts, comment, tag clouds or popular posts/comments widget or not? To have social sharing icons and related posts in single post or not? If you don't mind adding more tips that I don't know it would be very great! Thanks!

Multi channel product descriptions & dupe content issues
Hi When filling in inventory files to upload to the likes of Amazon clients will usually be copying and pasting the product descriptions from the website product descriptions into the Amazon product description field Should they really be re-written to avoid dupe content issues ? I presume not since it is the official description of the product. Please note that i'm talking here about the manufacturers website/product descriptions and their own Amazon shop descriptions. So theirs is the original authoritative description. Cheers Dan

Help! A site has copied my blog!
My site tanked on July 21 and I have been working so hard to bring it back up but nothing is working. Today I looked at "Links to Your Site" on Google Webmasters and I see a copy of my site on another URL. mysite.eemovies.org/mycategory/mypost The domain name is eemovies.org and then all my stuff is wrapped around it and all my content is there! How do I stop this?!

Usability-question on 2 of my websites
Hi all, It has been a while since I have been in this forum, but that's normally a great sign 🙂 Anyway these days I'm work on a "face-lift" on a couple of my sites (www.krydsord.dk, www.bingoforum.dk and www.alutagrender.dk), but also this face-lift should be more than just that. Hopefully it will help the usability to be better, and as a result of that - I hope it will make it easier for my visitors to easily find what they are looking for. The question is: I would like to ad, say, 25 words of description (mouse-over) in my top menu buttons. Why? Because, I believe that it's a possible problem that the menu just says "krydsord" (crosswords) in stead of a describing text saying something about "Push this button and you will see a complete list of all the cross words on Krydsord.dk). This way, I get the chance to add more text (for the Search Engines) and to guide my visitors in a way that I'm not capable of with the limitations my top menus give me as they are at this moment. Naturally, my visitors should be able to easily decline this "extra information", once they have got it once. Is this completely way off, or do you like the idea? More specifically: Will this be annoying for the visitors, will it have any positive effect on SEO matters? Actually I got partly inspired during a SEOmoz webinar (http://www.seomoz.org/webinars/designing-for-seo), even though it's not exactly what they are talking about in thwe webinar. Multiple local addresses for one domain
Hi Mozzers! If I have a website that has a separate office in each state that they wish to rank locally for eg: "service CityA" "service CityB" etc Would it be best to have a separate subdomain for each major city (unique content on each) with the office address specific to that city? Then there would be a separate Google places listing the subdomain as the website. Or should we just use subfolders? Would Google Places accept the subfolder as the web address? thanks!
