Using SEOMOZ on kindle
-
Sorry if asked in the wrong section (or indeed if this is even a relevant question), but couldn't find an off topic section
Am considering buying a Kindle ebook reader for various reasons, one of which would be to read the QandA and the community posts without being stuck at my desk all the time.
Does anyone use a kindle to browse these sections? Does it work ok? I don't want to get a full tablet as I have no need for all the functions on it.
Thanks,
Carl

I own a Kindle with 3G and I use it for viewing Gmail and Twitter quite successfully. I haven't tried SEOMoz.org specifically, but I have successfully been able to read other forums pretty easily.

Do you use interns in your company/agency?
I was reading a CNN article about interns at the White House and how much it costs them financially as the position is unpaid. Recently there was a story re a Bank of America intern who had died after working 72 hours straight - I did not read up on it and have no opinion, but interns are in the news. We use interns regularly and we only use paid interns. The rationale behind it is that we are not looking for free labor, we are looking for bright people who want to learn and contribute and if they are going to contribute, why would we not pay them. Secondarily, whenever I have been in a place where the interns were not paid, they seemed to be in charge of coffee and donuts. (And that's my job.) We want to have them teaching and learning from day one. We place real client issues in their hands and we are very serious about it. The work is always checked by a senior staff member, but I never cease to be amazed by what they can produce when you believe in them. We recently had 6 heading back to college or HS and we put on a crepe party with a local creperie in our offices. It was a huge success. It was funny to see a couple of other marketing firms that know us come out within a day or two with how they are looking to hire interns. As I looked at those and others, I found several large agency types stating they take interns but they are not paid and mainly because of the superior experience, etc. So, if you have interns do you pay them or not and why? I am not looking for anything around right or wrong, I am trying to let you know if you are diligent in hiring them, you will be astounded at what they and you can achieve.

Best Website satisfaction Survey Tool/Company to use
I need to do a voice of customer survey on one of our key webpages. It's basic questionnaire of why did you come here today, did you complete your task, etc. The company we were using last time Ipercetion has gone up tremendously in price and I was looking for another vendor with same attributes of easy to build survey and simple code that can be put on page easily. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Help Finding Specific SEOMoz Blog Post - Help meh puhleeze
Hi everyone! Hopefully everyone had a great weekend. I'm having trouble finding a specific blog post (from the SEOMoz blog), that was pertaining to content writing. I think (but could be wrong), that it was written by Rand, but I'm having the most difficult time finding it. The overall theme of the post was about Writing/Blogging about topics OUTSIDE of whatever your niche is. I didnt bookmark the thread (doh!), but the theme of it was to basically not just write about stuff pertaining to your niche on your blog. but to write about other topics as well (I.E if I have a site about blue widgets, not only writing about blue widgets). Is there anyone that is familiar with the post that I am referring to that could possibly point me in the right direction? Thanks a ton

Appropriate use of the NoIndex tag
If you have multiple domains with the same content and you link them together but hide the title/metas in the noindex tag, does this pass on link value while dodging the duplicate content issues? Look at teh source code of some of these domains: chambrelatwilliamsburg.com, thekenwoodoflakeview.com, thehallmarkofcrevecoeur.com, thedevonshireoflisle.com and theheritage-raleigh.com I had never seen this before and I was wondering if it is an "o.k." tactic to employ and if there is any value in linking this way (are the links passing any value)? Any thoughts?

SEOMOZ Glossary
Does SEOmoz have a glossary of terms. I answer many questions in Q&A and many people don't know what things stand for. "Uuhhhhh what's GWT?" "UUUUUhhh who's Matt Cutts?" "DDuuuhhhhh What GA?" I think it would be good to have a Glossary. SEObook has one, but I don't want to link from this forum to SeoBook. I want to keep it all in the Moz family of subscribers. (DDuurrrr, what's a SERP?)
