Limit of links in the same page

Hi, I have some pages that have more than 100 links. They are links to some stores (affiliate links). I set all of them as rel="nofollow" but I think Google is penalizing me because the link quantity.
What is a good number of URL in the same page?

Hi, follow one of them. Some are external, other are internals. All externals has nofollow:

Hi, I don't know exactly but it seems that some days after those links I had all my site positioning down. Now, all those links are with nofollow, but on the beginning not.

you can javascript the links and google won't follow them and you won't be throwing away all your PR on those pages

How do you know you are getting penalized? Did you add those links and then drop in rankings. Send over a link to your site.

General consensus is keep pages to 100 links per page.
This is not a hard and fast rule though.
Pages with nothing but links many times have a very high bounce rate & that drops you in SERPS.
Pages with good relevant content around the links keeps people on the pages & tells Google that this page has more value then a page with just huge list of links.
With more content you can have more links...
I would split up the link page into 2-3 pages of links & make sure that you ALSO have good content around those links.

Hello, I've question regarding affiliate partner generated links.Company www.example.com has a affiliate program. Partner www.example2.com links to the company site with affiliate link www.example.com/?affid=xxxx in banner, article etc. As I understand these type of links could hurt our Company site, so I asked partners to use rel="nofollow" in all links where they link to us usign ?affid=xxxx in url. To be 100% sure that I did the right thing I decided to post here my question. Could these type of links hurt our Company site? Regards,

Tips to Get People to Share User Reviews Pages?
I'd like to know if you have some ideas / advice on how to get people to share or link to user reviews pages? I mean unlike blog posts, it's more difficult to promote this kind of content. Here's an example: http://www.webhostinghero.com/reviews/inmotion-hosting/ I mean I just can't post links to the review pages on social networks, forums, whatever, that would be just plain spammy.

Links exchange - Penguin update potential ??
Hi Everyone, If site A and site B exchange links in the past, it used to be kind of voided. So it is a practicve that we had pretty uch put on the side. But with the new penguin update, do you guys think that if 2 web sites are contacting each other to share a link in the interest of the user that it might be a new best practice to implement? Example, Car site contact car suspension site to exchange a link on relevant content such as blog articles or specific content on a page. What are your thoughts about that ? Dear Mozzes, We're running a property portal for real estate classifieds which receives around 300.000 visits monthly. PA 47 DA 37 Mozrank 5,3 MozTrust 5,8 PR 4 Apart from our real estate classifieds we are producing proprietary trends and statistic, a rare commodity in the country we operate. Luckily we are about to enter into a partnership with one of the leading newspaper portals in the Country, appreciating PAs in the 80-90s. In this coming partnership we will provide: 1. Market statistics, which we can imagine as a chart followed by our logo and a "Powered By", which shall link to our site. 2. An in-framed part of our site in their portal where we list properties for sale, that will carry affiliate strings. In order to for us to get the maximum link value of this high authority site, how should we build the integration and linking? What is the negative effect of getting affiliate links to your domain?
Are the negative effects of affiliate links to your domain bigger than the positive effects? Is it better to use a subdomain for your affiliate campaigns? (Because of linkprofile no follow links or time on page effects?) Thanks for responce!

Sponsored Links on Amazon, help
So from what I can see CLickrive was discontinued by Amazon, replaced by a9. I have been asked by a client how they can get onto Sponsored Links near the bottom of a search query on an amazon page. Now I can see from the amazon associates site that you can put widgets, display ads, product search links etc but there is no mention of 'Sponsored Links' other than: SPONSORED LINKS Sponsored links are advertisements related to your recent product search query or content on the page. Sponsored links are always clearly labeled. When you click on a sponsored link, we get revenue. Generating additional revenue from sponsored links allows Amazon.com to offer lower prices to you - something we are dedicated to doing in every way we can. There is no mention on how to actually be a sponsored link... I have read on various blogs etc that it is delivered by a third party network... no mention as to whom... thought Google but no mention of this on any information I can find on Google blogs etc. Anyone have an idea? Thank you 🙂

Hi I’m looking for confirmation of my worries about affiliate links to a website I'm working for and hopefully get some ideas of how to solve the problem of having affiliates without losing the strength of links from affiliate web sites. Poplidays.com has an affiliate program with an independant affiliation platform, but it also has a couple of partners who link directly to Poplidays.com from their sites. Poplidays wants to reward the partner sites in the same way as it does affiliates: with a percentage of sales generated by visitors. However as their SEO I don’t want to lose these links. They are from established, quality sites in the same subject area and, in my opinion, have a lot of SEO value. Affiliate links are 302 redirects from urls on the affiliation platform’s domain; something like http://poplidays.affiliation.com/?clientid=123 to www.poplidays.com Can you confirm that replacing a direct link to www.poplidays.com with a 302 redirect of this type will be a bad for Poplidays rankings? Any proof of this from a reliable source that I can quote? The affiliation platform is insisting that there is no negative effect and that no one has ever made a remark like mine before. Any good ideas of how to resolve the problem of rewarding linkers without spoiling the links for SEO? Bearing in mind that Poplidays want to be able to reward sites for visitors who may buy on a later interaction with the site (up to 30-days) and want an automatic report so that the partner can follow his commissions. I’ve tried implementing something through Google Analytics but it wasn’t perfect. Your in house affiliation system is working with links like http://go.seomoz.org/aff_c?offer_id=1&aff_id=1624&url_id=1&file_id=24 that 302 to http://www.seomoz.org/features?affid=1624&txnid=10274208218121120514 Is this a better / perfect solution ? Two Tier Internet, Bad Blogs and One page Affiliate Sites
Hi, I start a post on a popular internet marketing forum about how bad blogs - (i.e. the ones with one posts of over optimise spun garbage) - and the one page affiliate sites - trying to sell you something... (you know the ones) - were REALLY starting to annoy me and if/when something would be done by ISP's or Anyone really. Obviously google is aware of the issue with trying to push Google Plus to crowd source better search results. But with more and more sites popping up telling people how they can make money from having a niche website/page with adwords on it aren't we fast moving to a two tier internet.... How websites/pages exist purely to game search engines.... and will they ever disappear.... Sorry mini rant..... might even get some ideas for a blog post 😛 (not on a bad blog before anyone says anything)
