Facebook pages are "no-follow" meaning no juice is passed directly to the site. However, the different signals and navigation of the viewers has an indirect organic affect. If your traffic is increased with a "no-follow" then it is affecting your "organic results" indirectly. However, the page rank "juice" isn't transferred via page rank, but rather by sending traffic.

While the links are nofollow, Google and Bing have both confirmed that links shared through twitter and facebook do have a direct impact on rankings. this was posted randfish of seomoz back in 2010 and i dont believe this has changed http://www.seomoz.org/blog/google-bing-confirm-twitter-facebook-influence-seo. heres another more recent post by the same author on the subject http://www.seomoz.org/blog/facebook-twitters-influence-google-search-rankings

I think you need to look beyond Page Rank. Make sure you set you FB page to show info rather than timeline/news feed by default for non-fans.
Look to other stats such as visitors from your FB page and then use your FB wall well to influence your SEO in a natural way

doesn't pass PR, but Google picks up on the social signals and takes that into some consideration with their rankings so if you own a site you should at least set up a FB page for that site.
not sure what you mean with the second question and how it relates to FB

Facebook links are nofollow. However, it's a great way to promote content and get other people to link to you. Basically Facebook doesn't give you link juice, but it helps you get it from other people.

Getting Redirect Loop and Oauth Error When Adding Facebook Page
Hi all, I keep getting the following error when trying to add my Facebook page. It worked fine in the past and has suddenly stopped working: The webpage at https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=142287725855094&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fpro.seomoz.org%2Fcampaigns%2F173488%2Fsocial%2Fcreate%2Ffacebook%2F127833296954.html&scope=read_stream%2Cuser_videos%2Cuser_photos%2Cuser_photo_video_tags%2Cmanage_pages%2Cread_insights has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer. I've tried clearing cache and deleting cookies. Any other ideas I would try? Thanks!

Does Google have a direct link with facebook and twitter?
Google monitor social media. What I'm wondering is do Google use the same tools we have on Facebook's API, Twitter's API etc to use in their SERPs Or do Facebook grant Google more detailed access to see who has liked links etc. I think it's quite an interesting point as surely I can push up my own count by repeatedly sharing my own links, which wouldn't be genuine. If Google had better access they could then determine what's been faked etc.

Pass Page LinkJuice? Or Pass Keyword LinkJuice?
I have a popular page that is not one of the three pages that I am hoping to raise awareness of (want to focus on). The dilemma I am trying to understand is that I really don't want to encourage all the flow from the popular to ONE of my hopeful pages (focus pages). Rather, I want to focus the keyword portions of that page to help the three hopeful pages. So I consider the rel=canonical tag.... err no. rel=canonical would pass ALL my popular page link juice to ONE of my three hopeful pages. What's the best way to pass the keyword link juice relevant to each of my three hopeful pages their, um, portion, of the popular page link juice. I'm white hat by preference. All four pages are good legitimate landing pages, and of course I dread sabotaging the popularity of what is working. Suggestions? Advice?

Metrics from Linkscape - DJ Passed, URL mozRank Passed and funny numbers
Hello, Hoping someone can help me understand the difference between the Domain Juice Passed and some interesting numbers found in the exported CSV file. I ran the Advanced Link Intelligence Report and focusing on the Links to Domain metrics. It looks like the report is sorted by mozRank passed but next to each link we are given the DJ Passed instead. Why is that? My confusion is compounded by the fact that when I export the CSV of this report it no longer includes the DJ Passed numbers but does show URL mozRank Passed instead. For Example, on the web version of the Advanced Link Intelligence Report the top link is: http://www.holdenouterwear.com/shop.php with mozRank: 5.56 mozTrust: 5.95 and DJ Passed: 4.49 In the CSV file we don't get the DJ passed but get the URL mozRank Passed of: 0.00051 Looking at the CSV file further some links have URL mozRank Passed of 4.00E-05 Anyone has a clear explanation of why DJ Passed is not in the CSV file and how the mozRank passed is calculated? And what the 4.00E-05 mean? Thank you.
