Higher PA score not reflected in google results - Redirect Issue ?
-
We have a redirect on our site at www.subsidesports.com to www.subsidesports.com/uk. Checking both home page scores in OSE, the .com/uk site has a higher PA and other metrics than .com yet all Home Page SERPS listed in Google still show .com with the lower PA and other metrics although the DA score of course is the same for both. Are we doing anything wrong here ?
As part of my troubleshooting performed a redirect check using <http://www.ragepank.com/redirect-check/> and received the following error report:
- http://www.subsidesports.com/index.html returns a 200 (OK) response. PR N/A
- http://subsidesports.com/index.html returns a 200 (OK) response. PR N/A
Potential problems on this site
- 2 pages returned a 200 response. This indicates potential for duplicate content problems. Ideally, only http://www.subsidesports.com OR http://subsidesports.com should return a 200 response.
Are these two issues related and perhaps answered my own question ?
-
Suggested cause of problem shouldn't be related to original issue. It's however something that needs to be addressed.
Also you should probably add redirect from http://www.subsidesports.com/index.html to http://www.subsidesports.com/uk
As for your original question. When have you put redirect from .com to .com/uk. Maybe it just needs some time for googleBot to properly index it.
Kind regards
Bojan

How much of an issue is JS?
Hey folks, So, I got two pages. Page A has a lot more content but in a tabular format which uses javascript and a Title Tag which is a synonym for our keyword, but not the actual keyword. Page B has less content, and the title tag is the exact keyword phrase we want to rank for. Page A has a bigger backlink profile (though not enormous by any extent). Page A ranks in 30th. Page B ranks in 7th. Importance of Title tag? Importance of JS? Both? Discuss! Cheers, Rhys

301 Redirect
Hello, On the 26.2.13 we changed domain names having followed the guidance of both Matt Cutts Youtube videos and googles own online documentation. We have a 301 redirect in place from our old domain ukmotorhomehirerental.com to our new site leisurerentalsdirect.com on a page to page basis. The site structure has not been altered in anyway. Google has been informed of the change of address. After the change the new domain transition was pretty seamless and ranked in the same postion in the SERPsThe one thing I've not done yet is tell all the webmasters who link to the old site that the address has changed (could this be it?)

MSNbot Issues
We found msnbot is doing lots of request at same time to one URL, even considering we have caching, it triggers many requests at same time so caching does not help at the moment: For sure we can use mutex to make sure URL waits for cache to generate, but we are looking for solution for MSN boot. 123.253.27.53 [11/Dec/2012:14:15:10 -0600] "GET //Fun-Stuff HTTP/1.1" 200 0 "-" "msnbot/2.0b (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)" 1.253.27.53 [11/Dec/2012:14:15:10 -0600] "GET //Type-of-Resource/Fun-Stuff HTTP/1.1" 200 0 "-" "msnbot/2.0b (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)" 1.253.27.53 [11/Dec/2012:14:15:10 -0600] "GET /Browse//Fun-Stuff HTTP/1.1" 200 6708 "-" "msnbot/2.0b (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)" We found the following solution: http://www.bing.com/community/site_blogs/b/webmaster/archive/2009/08/10/crawl-delay-and-the-bing-crawler-msnbot.aspx Bing offers webmasters the ability to slow down the crawl rate to accommodate web server load issues. User-Agent: * Crawl-Delay: 10 Need to know if it’s safe to apply that. OR any other advices. PS: MSNBot gets so bad at times that it could trigger a DOS attack – alone! Duplicate Content Issue
Hello, We have many pages in our crawler report that are showing duplicate content. However, the content is not duplicateon the pages. It is somewhat close, but different. I am not sure how to fix the problem so it leaves our report. Here is an example. It is showing these as duplicate content to each other. www.soccerstop.com/c-119-womens.aspx www.soccerstop.com/c-120-youth.aspx www.soccerstop.com/c-124-adult.aspx Any help you could provide would be most appreciated. I am going through our crawler report and resolving issues, and this seems to be big one for us with lots in the report, but not sure what to do about it. Thanks

Any issues with lots of pages issuing 301 redirects?
Hi all, I'm working on a site redesign and it is possible the new site could issue a lot of 301 redirects as we may migrate from one forum solution to another. Is there any issue with crawlers getting a lot of 301 redirects from a site? Thanks Nick
