Hello
When I am adding tags to my post,
what keywords should i use for tags and how many tags i should add per post ?
Should i use keywords from title of post , focus keyword or something related to post ?
my blog is http://www.dota2club.com/
Thank you !!!!
-
Make sure to add the most relevant keywords as your tags. Obviously they are the keywords used in the post or synonyms
-
and it is necessarily to add description for every tag ?
thank you !!!

Thank you !
is it good to add tag same as title of post and to add other related keywords ?
or just to add related keywords ?
thank you !!!!
-
You should add tags related to your post or keywords used in it. Having 3-5 tags per post is sufficient.

Does Google read dynamic canonical tags?
Does Google recognize rel=canonical tag if loaded dynamically via javascript? Here's what we're using to load: <script> //Inject canonical link into page head if (window.location.href.indexOf("/subdirname1") != -1) { canonicalLink = window.location.href.replace("/kapiolani", ""); } if (window.location.href.indexOf("/subdirname2") != -1) { canonicalLink = window.location.href.replace("/straub", ""); } if (window.location.href.indexOf("/subdirname3") != -1) { canonicalLink = window.location.href.replace("/pali-momi", ""); } if (window.location.href.indexOf("/subdirname4") != -1) { canonicalLink = window.location.href.replace("/wilcox", ""); } if (canonicalLink != window.location.href) { var link = document.createElement('link'); link.rel = 'canonical'; link.href = canonicalLink; document.head.appendChild(link); } script>

Are keyword focused pages actually hurting me?
Is the practice of having keyword focused pages a thing of the past?  Here is what I am seeing.  My biggest competitor ranks #1 or #2 in most of my relevant keyword phrases (about 20 that I consider most important).  They DO NOT have keyword focused pages.  They have a PA of 42.5 and a DA of 33.8. They have 72 root domains that link to them. Their home page is fairly lite for content.  Only 1 paragraph of text really... and a few reviews local to their page (not TA or anything). Socially, we we have the same FB following... but I also have  blog, G+, twitter, pinterest, flickr, instagram, youtube, and linkedin. My keyword pages will rank #8 or #9. My home page hardly ever ranks. My home page has a PA of 40.3 and a DA of 29.1. I have 60 root domains that link to me. BUT... my keyword pages fall much lower.  For instance, one has a PA of 16.1 and only 1 root domain link. So, my question is... are my keyword pages actually hurting me?  Meaning... is google seeing my keyword page as more relevant content wise (because they are perfect for keyword placement, % of keyword to text, etc), but they rank them lower because of PA and back-links? Should I take down my keyword focused pages (one at a time maybe???) and work on building my home page?

GWMT -- Top URLs for keyword is not the homepage
Hi Everyone - In google webmaster tools, in the Content Keywords section, when I click on a link of all of my top keywords they display a single "Top URLs". The URL which they display is not my homepage but a random category landing page of our e-commerce website. Should I be worried about this? Does this suggest that google is ranking this one URL ahead of our homepage?

Do keywords in url parameter count?
I have a client who is on an older ecommerce platform that does not allow url rewrites in anyway. It would cost a ton of money to custom dev a solution. Anyways right now they have set up a parameter on their product urls to at least get the keyword in there. My question is, will this keyword actually be counted since it is in a parameter? An example url is http://domain.com/Catalog.aspx?Level1=01&Level2=02&C=Product-name-here Does this 'product-name-here' count as having the keyword in the url according to google?

One Keyword Penalty
Hi There, Quick question for everyone. Is it possible to get penalized a keyword level not page level. I have a site that only seems to be penalized on one keyword which is currently at page 22, whilst the rest are on page 1 or page 2. I came to the site late so I have no idea when the site lost its ranking for this keyword after a site redesign but the onpage is almost the same. Kind Regards Neil

Google Webmaster Tools: Keywords
Hi SEOmozzers! Â I'm the Dr./owner/in-house SEO for my eye care practice. Â The URL is www.ofallonfamilyeyecare.com. Â Our practice is in O'Fallon, MO. Â Since I'm an optometrist, my main keywords are "optometrist o'fallon" and "o'fallon optometrist". As I get more familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools, I've discovered the Keywords that Google feels best represent my website. Â About a week ago I noted Google counted 21 instances of "optometrist" on the 28-30 pages of my website, which ranks as #32 in the most common keywords. Â #1 is "eye" with 506 instances. Even though 21 occurrences seemed low, I went though every page adding "optometrist" a couple times in the body where it would naturally be appropriate. Â I also added it to the address shown on the footer of every page. Â I changed the top navigation option of "meet Dr. Hegyi" to "our optometrist". I must have added at least 4 occurrences to every page on my site, and submitted for a re-crawl. Â I even tried to scale back the "eye" occurrences on a few pages. Today I see that Google has re-crawled the site and the keywords have been updated. Â "Optometrist has DROPPED from #32 to #33. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions why I'm not seeing increased occurrence in Googles eyes? I realize this may not be a big factor in SERPs, but every bit of on-page optimization helps. Or is this too minor of an issue to sweat? Thanks!

Keywords in file names vs folder names
We understand the value of a keyword phrase included in the URL. Is there more value to having that phrase in the folder name of the URL or the file name or does it matter? Example: http://www.biztoolsone.com/website-design.php or http://www.biztoolsone.com/website-design/ Which is best? Thanks, Wick Smith
