Crawl Test taking 10+ days and still "In Progress" - normal or glitch?
-
I started a crawl test for my large site - WallStreetOasis.com - on June 20 and still have not received my results. It still says "Crawl in Progress" 10 days later. Does this seem odd or problematic, or is this normal?
-
Your best bet is to email help@seomoz.org and they'll take a look and see what's up. So sorry about the troubles!
-
I had had this happen several times. It's not normal. Contact support - they are very helpful. For my situation, they had to have a developer/engineer step in to get things back on track.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Patrick. Very much appreciated.
I was logged into my Wall Street Oasis campaign, and went to Research Tools > SEO Web Crawler > entered www.wallstreetoasis.com and now I've go the "Crawl In Progress" icons above both the one I submitted on 7/20 and the one from 7/30.

Patrick-
Problematic and not normal. Is this set up as a campaign or did you use the research analysis crawl test? If you have done one and not the other, then do the other also and see if there is a change.
We have several sites in the 10,000+ page content and it doesnt take but a couple of days.
Good luck. Hope this helps.

How to remove URLS from from crawl diagnostics blocked by robots.txt
I suddenly have a huge jump in the number of errors in crawl diagnostics and it all seems to be down to a load of URLs that should be blocked by robots.txt. These have never appeared before, how do I remove them or stop them appearing again?

Campaign Churning for Two Days
I started a campaign 5/11/2012. It's still churning. Here's what the Crawl Diagnostics Summary has said for the two days. Starter Crawl in Progress! Processing Crawl Data Started: May 11th, 2012 To get you started quickly Roger is crawling up to 250 pages on your site. You should see these results within two hours. The full crawl will complete within 7 days. Should I / can I stop this campaign? How?

Do new Mozzers realise it takes effort to respond to their questions?
I see a lot of people asking questions and getting some pretty good responses, but the people who are responding, often do not get a thumbs up for their answer. If you are new and you are reading this, then you maybe do not understand that a thumbs up actually helps the person who gave their time to answer your question. There are several ways it helps, including giving feedback that the answer or the attempt to answer was actually useful, that you learned something or you appreciate the time it took to check your questions and give you feedback that you don't get in other forums, where you might be ignored for weeks or months. This is a collaborative forum and we are all here to learn something and to pass some of our knowledge to others who need it. Not every answer we give needs a thumbs up, but if you got something out of the answer, then, surely it is worth a second of your time to say "Thanks, that helped me" or "Yes, I agree with this"
