Can open site explorer miss incoming links?

In open site explorer I only see one linking domain, eventhough I know of at least 1 other. Why is that?
-
Due to the size of the internet as a whole, you'll find that all of those type of tools have indexed different content.
If you really want to see as many as possible, do a direct Google search on your domain in quotes "yoursite.com" and "www.yoursite.com" Then use Webmasters Tools, Open Site Explorer, Majestic and AHrefs as a starting point.
See Rand's blog on the size of the OSE database here: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/octobers-mozscape-update
Moz crawled 55 billion URLs. In May they were indexing 150 billion but have had issues with that. Most importantly, on the crawl updates, they said:
"**This bit is important: **Next index, we're going back down to between 70-90 billion URLs, and focusing on getting back to much fresher updates (we're even aiming to get to updates every 2 weeks, though this is a challenging goal, not a guarantee). The 150 billion+ page indices are an awesome milestone, but as you've likely noticed, the extra data does not equate with hugely better correlations nor even with massively higher amounts of data on the URLs most of our customers care about (as an example, in index 50, we had ~53 billion pages and 82.09% of URLs requested had data). That said, once our architecture is more stable, we will be aiming to get to both huge index sizes and dramatically better freshness."
So Mozscape/OSE index, Ahrefs, Majestic, Google and WMT will all show different URLs - try to check them all once in awhile and definitely stick with Google, WMT and Moz for the big databases.

Open Site Explorer produces better results for www.50campfires.com than 50campfires.com
Our website url is 50campfires.com and www.50campfires.com redirects to 50campfires.com Look at the Open Site Explorer results for the two and www.50campfires.com has better results. Does google have an issue with this or may it be confusing them? We have redirects in place. How would I go about fixing this? More on what strategies would improve Page Authority and Page Rank. Thanks in Advance. 79JtBKA.png lrHwsOU.png

How can I increase the number of links downloaded with the Opensite Explorer Just-Discovered tool?
I recently just tried to download the list from the OpenSite Explorer Just-Discovered tool and it only downloaded 233 links. When I checked to see how many URLs were available it was over 4,000. It does seem as though it only downloaded today's links although I'm not quite sure about that. Is there a way to increase the number of links downloaded to match what is listed in Opensite Explorer? Thanks.

In Open Site Explorer is it possible to use wildcards?
If I have a section on my website called lists with articles in there can I use wildcards in Open Site Explorer to find how many backlinks all articles in that section have - and ideally which pages are most linked to? Something like www.example.com/lists/* to give number of backlinks to all articles in that website section and which are the most highly linked to. Would be a great feature to have! Cheers Siimon

I need a tool/tools to extract keywords from say 50 sites in one niche and then check the rank tor those sites
This is for telemarketing of seo services I want to have some insight into an industry before I call them could this be done with the adwords keyword tool api and then exported to excel. It would also be nice to have data on backlinks say from seo moz opensite explorer.. Its just that the research you do before you even call a potential client is so time consuming and you can never really check to see how they are ranking for there main keywords manually. We are trying to automate as much of this initial research as possible... Any Idea's Thanks

Open site explorer - Analysing competitors links
When using open site explorer to analyse my competitors links, when going through them, I would click them to have a look at them. Almost all of the ones I clicked on something started to download on my computer and would be a blank page or the tab would disappear when the download begun. What is this? Why have they done this? Is this bad practice? Thanks
