Add URL parameters in SEOMoz as per GWT?

Hi, this may be a tall order, or maybe it's already in place and I'm behind the times!
Any chance on getting something like this going? Even handier, have SEOMoz import these settings directly from GWT.
The issue comes into play when looking at my duplicate page content reports; I'm guessing that SEOMoz will continue showing these as duplicates even after I have tweaked GWT to read them properly.
Haven't tested this theory as I just started down this road on GWT myself.

Personally, I would no longer look at SEOmoz's duplicate content identification if they did this. One thing that's crucial to consider here, is that GWT != Google Search.
Just because GWT adds a suggestive signal for organic search doesn't mean it's going to work (in fact, in my experience, usually it doesn't). A great example of a 100% GWT vs. Google Search mismatch- have you tried "Download Latest Links" in GWT? (http://www.northcutt.com/blog/2012/07/what-download-latest-links-means-for-seo/). I don't know about you, but every time I've tried it, the "new" links range from a month ago to 10 years ago. And they're definitely pages that are long indexed as per a "site:" Google search. Totally out of sync.
There are many more applications of this that I see each week as well. Pages that have long used rel="canonical" correctly still having hundreds of duplicate pages in the index. Parts of Google Analytics working totally different than other parts of Google Analytics. It's a kind of 'Microsoft syndrome' that's formed, whereby teams don't mesh quite like the cohesive public-facing brand image would imply. Your best bet is to configure GWT, use rel="canonical", and while you're at it, work with your application to make sure that no crawler-accessible page ever uses GET variables.

When the site's entire URL structure changed, should we update the inbound links built pointing to the old URLs?
We're changing our website's URL structures, this means all our site URLs will be changed. After this is done, do we need to update the old inbound external links to point to the new URLs? Yes the old URLs will be 301 redirected to the new URLs too. Many thanks!

Cleaning up backlinks and changing URLs
Currently we are performing very poorly in organic clicks. We are a e-commerce site with over 2000 products. Issues we thought plagued us: Copied Images from competitors Site wide duplicate content duplicate content from competitor site Number of internal links on a page (300+) Bad backlinks (2.3k from 22 domains and ips) being linked to from sites like m.biz URLs URLs are abbreviated, over 50% lack our keywords Lack of meta descriptions, or too long meta descriptions Current State of fixing these issues: 50% images are now our own Site wide duplicate content near 100% completed Internal links have been dealt with Rewrote content for every product 90% of meta descriptions are fixed From all of these changes we have yet to see increase in traffic...10% increase at best in organic clicks. We think we have penalties on certain URLs. My question for the MOZ community is what is the best way to attack the lack of organic clicks. Our main competition is getting 900% more clicks than us. How to deal with URLs and tabbed content
Hi All, We're currently redesigning a website for a new home developer and we're trying to figure out the best way to deal with tabbed content in the URL structure. The design of the site at the moment will have a page for a development and within that you can select your house type, then when on the house type page there will be tabs displayed for the user to see things like the plot map, availability and pricing, specifications, etc. The way our development team are looking at handling this is for the URL to use a hashtag or a query string at the end of it so we can still land users on these specific tabs for PPC for example. My question is really, has anyone had any experience with this? Any recommendations on how to best display the urls for SEO? Thanks

Exact keyword URL or not?
Hi all, I have a quick question about the proper use of permalinks. Let's say that I have a website about sports and I want to create an internal page dedicated to shoes. I know that the keyword "shoe" has 15.000 monthly visits, while the keyword "shoes" has 1.000 monthly visits. How do I have to name the internal page? http://www.example.com/shoe or http://www.example.com/shoes (with a final 's')? I would think that by naming the URL http://www.example.com/shoes, the search engine would consider that page for the keywords "shoe" and "shoes", but I am not sure about it. Should I create a URL that only focuses on one specific keyword ("shoe", in this example) or a URL that may encompass more than one keyword ("shoe" and "shoes")? I hope this is clear. Linking to Short vs Long URL
Suppose I have a long url on an established site and created a shorter version of it so it is easier for people to enter directly and click. I 301 the short version to the long. I don't think there is much concern for people linking to the long version pages, but will there be a tendency for people to link to the short url instead of the long for the domain links? Will I not benefit as much from links to the short vs the long? Thanks.

Google Maps results doesn't show my site url but rather the maps url, why is this?
For several of my clients landing pages that show up in the Maps results the website url has been overwritten by the maps url (maps.google.com). Even though on my places page I have the correct website set up. Does anyone have any idea why they would be doing this and how I can correct it? Thanks kinldy in advance, Aaron. maps-url.png

Should I shorten my urls?
For my informational site I have a lot of urls that are way too long. When I first created the site, I wrote a script that takes out the common words of a post and fashions a url. So, for example, if the first few words of a question were: Hi there, I have a question about back pain. I'm wondering what drugs would be good for relief and how I can get some help? then my url may be: www.mydomain.com/question?id=123-question-back-pain-wondering-drugs-good-relief-how-get-some-help Once I got learning about seo I realized that these urls were too long but I never did anything about them. Should I be shortening these, or is my time best spent doing something else?
