Back lining for my competition on face book but through blog
-
Hi all, Just a quick question .. I currently have a competition running on Facebook for fan page likes likes but I also have a post on my blog also talking about the competition which links to Facebook and my main e commerce site. since the competition is doing relatively well i would like to draw more attention to it but via my blog rather than linking to Facebook ... how would you go about it? Many thanks

The one thing I would check with is making sure that your contest follows the rules of FB for a contest. The last thing you want to do is bring more attention to it and then discover that it's against FB's rules.

I am not sure you will get much out of this but you could always just send people to the post on the main site which then sends them to the Facebook page? Likewise, you could just link from the blog to the Facebook page and the main site.
There is not a great deal to gain here I don't think though so I would not lose a great deal of sleep over this one.
Cheers
Marcus

Hi Marcus Well I want both I'm greedy like that but I don't want to keep linking directly to Facebook but rather link to my website which then links to Facebook. So I want to continue to promote the competition but direct the entrants to my web site which then links to Facebook. Hope that make sense

Hey Gareth
Not 100% sure I understand the question.
You are looking to build more likes for your Facebook page
You want to stop linking out to facebook?
I am a simple man, so easily confused! Can you give us a few more details?
Cheers
Marcus

High Competitive Keyword
I am working on a keyword which has 72 difficulty score, I have tried getting quality links with high DA, also there is no any on page issue, landing page is loading very fast and fixed all site loading issues, the keyword is stuck on 3rd page of Google and shuffling between 20 to 30 but not ranking on 1st page, I need expert opinions on it.

Expired Domains for Back Links - any good?
I've read that PBN's have been targetted by Google and a recent update may have been brought out targeting these. I was going to search for an expired domain with good backlink profile in a similar sort of niche to me. I was going to buy that domain and build a mini website. I would have registered with a paid shared host of £2-3 per month and have it as a site of its own. Then when ranked on Google so i know its not blacklisted I'd link one link back to my money site. I cant see how Google would be able to penalise this. Im presuming a PBN is a large network of these that are used to link to multiple sites rather than doing what I was planning. Is it a good idea to use the tactic I was going to use or am I asking for trouble?

Best Practices for Creating Back Links from "Thought Leader" Content
What is the best way to use articles from a "thought leader" to build high-quality links to my website? I have heard that it is possible to pay bloggers to post business articles that link back to a website. That assuming these blogs have domain authority this is a good technique to improve ranking. Is this in fact true, and if so where would I find blogs to post our content. The purpose would be to promote real estate brokerage website. Any suggestions? Is this possible, advisable, best use of quality content? Alternatively, where else can we post engaging content to create links back to our site? Social media? The nature of the content would be such topics as how to find the best value in Manhattan office of loft space rentals, etcera. Thanks, Alan

What are the SEO implications of moving our blog to a subdomain? Our blog URL structure is currently something like https://www.aplossoftware.com/blog/p/2470/fund-accounting/yearend-closing-checklist/. We would like to change to something like https://blog.aplossoftware.com/p/2470/fund-accounting/yearend-closing-checklist/

Hi Everyone, I have published 46 articles so far on my blog. Recently I changed my SEO strategy including changing main page titles, changing the targeting pages for each keyword, ... . Do you think it is a good thing to go back through all of my blog posts and change the internal link building and modify them accordingly. Thanks,

Do we need to remove Google Authorship from the blog?
http://www.virante.org/blog/2013/12/19/authorshippocalypse-google-authorship-penguin-finally-appeared/ Search Engine Land reported that Google confirms that Authorship results in search are being intentionally reduced. It appears that the Matt Cutts-promised reductions to the amount of Google Authorship results being shown in Google Search has begun. Do we need to remove a Google Authorship tag from the blog? Because it hurts the ranking?

Duplicate blog content and NOINDEX
Suppose the "Home" page of your blog at www.example.com/domain/ displays your 10 most recent posts. Each post has its own permalink page (where you have comments/discussion, etc.). This obviously means that the last 10 posts show up as duplicates on your site. Is it good practice to use NOINDEX, FOLLOW on the blog root page (blog/) so that only one copy gets indexed? Thanks, Akira
