2 page titles, 1 url in Google SERPS: WTF!?!?

Hey guys,
Hope everybody is having a good day.
Today i came across something i have never seen in the serps before that i would like to share and getting feedback on.
When i search for 'woonverzekering' on google.nl #1 is:
**Url: ** www.independer.nl/woonverzekering/intro.aspx
**page titel: **Woonverzekering - Independer.nlWhen i search for 'woonhuisverzekering' on google.nl #1 is:
**Url: ** www.independer.nl/woonverzekering/intro.aspx
page titel: Woonhuisverzekering? Vergelijk alle soorten woonverzekeringen - Independer.nlSo basically 2 different queries show the same url with 2 different page titles in the serps.
The only 'weird' thing i could find was a nobreakspace in the page title code:
Woonhuisverzekering? Vergelijk alle soorten woonverzekeringen - Independer.nl
I'm i missing something completely obvious here? Is this a commonly used technique. Is the page title getting chopped up because of ?
What are they doing to get 2 page title results on 1 url?

Nice to meet you, might of been a funny bug that it didn't display your name the first time.
Have you seen this happen before ? If so could u (or anybody else) plz post 2 serp links displaying the same url but with 2 different page titles?
I was only aware this would happen to meta descriptions (either a piece of matching text is taken or in some cases the dmoz.org description)

Weird that it didn't post my name.
Like I said, I don't speak Dutch so woonverzekeringen is plural? Learned something new, then. But in your singular search it showed singular, not plural. That still makes me think that Google lifted it from elsewhere on the page and not the title tag.

Also in the
Woonverzekering afsluiten?
but that doenst match with the title in the serps 'woonverzekeringen - Independer.nl'
It seems like for some reason Google cuts of the beginning of the full page title tag when you search voor 'woonhuisverzekering'

You can sometimes see the same thing in meta description vs page content, where Google picks the most relevant part to your search term.
The actual title tag of the page in question is
Woonhuisverzekering? Vergelijk alle soorten woonverzekeringen - Independer.nl
It's not a good practice to leave nbsp in your title tag but I don't think that is it. "woonverzekering" does not appear in the title tag (it's part of that longer word but, given that I don't speak Dutch, I can't tell if it's simply part of the word or related) but it DOES appear in the page copy (in a H1 no less, smart SEO). Google clearly sees it as relevant so, in relation to your search term, it's put that term in place of the title tag because it's more relevant.

Why isn't our complete meta title showing up in the Google SERPS? (cut off half way)
We carry a product line, cutless bearings (for use on boats). For instance, we have one, called the Able, that has the following meta title (and searched by View Page Source to confirm): BOOT 1-3/8" x 2-3/8" x 5-1/2" Johnson Cutless Bearing | BOOT Cutlass However, if I search for it on on Google by part number or name (boot cutless bearing, boot cutlass bearing), the meta title comes back with whole first part chopped off, only showing this : "x 5-1/2" Johnson Cutless Bearing | BOOT Cutlass - Citimarine ..." Any idea why? Any way to force a URL out of Google index?
As far as I know, there is no way to truly FORCE a URL to be removed from Google's index. We have a page that is being stubborn. Even after it was 301 redirected to an internal secure page months ago and a noindex tag was placed on it in the backend, it still remains in the Google index. I also submitted a request through the remove outdated content tool https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals and it said the content has been removed. My understanding though is that this only updates the cache to be consistent with the current index. So if it's still in the index, this will not remove it. Just asking for confirmation - is there truly any way to force a URL out of the index? Or to even suggest more strongly that it be removed? It's the first listing in this search https://www.google.com/search?q=hcahranswers&rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS753US755&oq=hcahr&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j69i60j0l3.1700j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Should I use noindex or robots to remove pages from the Google index?
I have a Magento site and just realized we have about 800 review pages indexed. The /review directory is disallowed in robots.txt but the pages are still indexed. From my understanding robots means it will not crawl the pages BUT if the pages are still indexed if they are linked from somewhere else. I can add the noindex tag to the review pages but they wont be crawled. https://www.seroundtable.com/google-do-not-use-noindex-in-robots-txt-20873.html Should I remove the robots.txt and add the noindex? Or just add the noindex to what I already have?

Duplicate page url crawl report
Details: Hello. Looking at the duplicate page url report that comes out of Moz, is the best tactic to a) use 301 redirects, and b) should the url that's flagged for duplicate page content be pointed to the referring url? Not sure where the 301 redirect should be applied... should this url, for example: <colgroup><col width="452"></colgroup>

Subdomain replaced domain in Google SERP
Good morning, This is my first post. I found many Q&As here that mostly answer my question, but just to be sure we do this right I'm hoping the community can take a peak at my thinking below: Problem: We are relevant rank #1 for "custom poker chips" for example. We have this development website on a subdomain (http://dev.chiplab.com). On Saturday our live 'chiplab.com' main domain was replaced by 'dev.chiplab.com' in the SERP. Expected Cause: We did not add NOFOLLOW to the header tag. We also did not DISALLOW the subdomain in the robots.txt. We could have also put the 'dev.chiplab.com' subdomain behind a password wall. Solution: Add NOFOLLOW header, update robots.txt on subdomain and disallow crawl/index. Question: If we remove the subdomain from Google using WMT, will this drop us completely from the SERP? In other words, we would ideally like our root chiplab.com domain to replace the subdomain to get us back to where we were before Saturday. If the removal tool in WMT just removes the link completely, then is the only solution to wait until the site is recrawled and reindexed and hope the root chiplab.com domain ranks in place of the subdomain again? Google SERPs displaying Tracking Tags

Google Penguin 2.1 Penalty - Recoverable?
Hello, I have a client that was hit very bad by the Google Penguin 2.1 update. He mentioned he did an intensive link analysis and removed all the bad links; however there were a lot of them (around 6000). His domain has a decent sized domain authority of 30/100. I'm wondering if it's worth it to try and save his domain, or start fresh from a new one. Due to the high number of links I'm not 100% confident that all the bad links were taken care of, and I've heard that even if you remove the links Google won't lift the penalties. What would you do...get a new domain, or risk the next couple months trying to save the existing one?
