What about Google + and SEO has this effect on your organic results?
-
Can somebody give me an answer on this question?
- And when so what to do? With your Google + account?
- And what about Google + and the future of SEO within the organic search results in Google ?
Hope to get some answers???
Thank you in advance -
Hi there
The question is two-fold, so let's look at it in bits.
First - Google+ may pass SEO value to your site, just as any other website would. This is because Google+ pages can accrue PageRank and also pass it on - the links in the "about" section of a business page, for example, are dofollow, which passes PageRank or SEO equity.
Second of all, Google+ already has a big influence in organic search in a few other ways - and this is likely to get bigger over time. We have seen people being able to link to their website with the rel=author tag - which links the website with a Google+ profile. This creates a rich snippet in the organic search results, a small picture of the contributor's profile, which has been tested to show an increase in click-through rate in the SERPs. So that's one way.
The second is personalised search. People logged into their Google accounts will be served personalised search engine results. This could be based on their previous browsing history, pages that they have "+1'", friends that have "+1"'d pages and probably more factors in the future. This can have a massive shift in how organic search appears and therefore makes Google accounts and Google+ a significant influencer.
I would start engaging more and more with your Google+ account. Get involved with Google+ community pages to start getting more followers to your own account and start being active and promoting your business pages too. Engage with your audience, take part of the Hangouts feature and start adding +1s and followers to your page. Link up your personal profile to your blog posts with the "rel=author" schema tag to improve click through rate on these posts. The stronger your profile and business page are, then it's most likely the stronger the influence they will have in organic search.
Hope this answers your questions!

Hey Everyone, I've been wondering for the longest time if I should use my Google Apps business account google plus profile or just continue to use my personal google plus profile. MY personal account is what I am currently using. Does it really matter? Thank you for your input!

SEO Terms Defined
I am having a really hard time clearly defining this for folks, I am hoping for some help here. Directory Websites: sites such as www.abcdirectory.com, these are typically lower quality manual submission websites with little user interaction Citation Sites: These are websites with business location listing such as Manta.com or yellowpages.com and involve locations with no links but the citations are valuable to ranking Local Search Sites: These are sites like Google Places, Yahoo Local, Yelp, etc and they sometimes offer reviews and user interaction, and are a hybrid local/social SEO component, you can create listings on these sites but if you want them to appear in search you need interaction with the page/listing.

Google+ SEO value
Hello, We created a google+ page for our website and we would like to know what's best for SEO purposes. We've put +1 buttons on our website and when you use them it give a +1 to our website's url. Some other websites on the other hand make the button give a +1 to their website's page on Google + like this for instance: https://plus.google.com/u/0/113493854651753327245/posts So basically the number of +1s on the Google+ page increases. Which one is best to have my website rank higher for its keywords? Thanks for your help 🙂

How do I find out the total number of Google +1's my website has?
I can't for the life of me figure how to see the total number of Google +1's my site has. Yes, I've tried Webmaster Tools, but it only shows +1's from the past 30 days. All days prior to that are grayed out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

How much power does using keywords on Facebook and Twitter have from an SEO perspective?
Hi all, When we add a new Christmas party package onto our website I always tweet about it with a link to the party page, utilizing a tweet such as : "New Manchester Christmas parties", followed by the link. How much power (if any) does utilizing the key phrase Manchester Christmas parties have on SEO for that page? Bearing in mind the link is shortened and doesn't mention the keywords anywhere in it, they are only present in the tweet itself. Similarly, on our company Facebook page I always post a link with a title such as "check out our new Manchester Christmas parties". Does this have much SEO benefit for the page I'm directing the link to? Many thanks!!
