Website/blog list to get quality backlinks?

Hi
Everyone says quality backlinks increase ranking of your website. Can you please suggest a list of good websites and blogs from where I can get quality backlinks and how to do that. I have one person at my disposal full time to do manual commenting or any manual tasks for getting backlinks but how should i approach this problem (of getting backlinks). Where do I start.
For information, my website provides online services (its an ecommerce site) and also has a blog in subdirectory. refer to
Would like to become top ranker on search for these services (eg 'logo design services', 'website programming', 'content writing', 'hire virtual assistant' etc)
Also anyone interested to become our SEO consultant or SEO service provider (of course paid) is most welcome

The short answer is yes, it will help your whole site.
As for the long answer:
Every page that is included in the structure of your website, has internal links pointing to it, or has external links pointing at it will have some amount of authority/page rank. Of that authority, a page is able to pass 85+% of it's total authority on to other pages. So, if you have 10 links on that page it will pass around 8.5% of its total authority on to other pages.
So, let's say you have a blog post about the "50 Best Logos Ever." From there you would want to link back to your logo service to try drive authority back to those pages. That way if your post gets links you will be able to drive more authority back to your pages that make you money.

One place to start would be to run an analysis of your competitors, see where they've earned links from & how. Then see where you can add value by creating content and linkable assets.

Since my basic objective is selling my services (eCommerce) and I also have a blog in sub-directory which is wordpress based, does promoting articles on my sub-directory blog add link authority of my main website and finally will it drive more traffic to my main site?

Unfortunately, quality back links aren't going to come from a list. The best kind are naturally earned with great content, but you can supplement this process with a great guest blogging process. To do this you will want to find blogs in your niche, which would be anything about advertising really, and build a relationship with them so that they will accept your guest blog posts. There's awesome resources out there for best initial emails to start this process, but I don't have any saved off hand.
The ideal option is actually getting links naturally. To do this you will want to great engaging content that gets people to link to you. This may be a list of the best 50 logos ever, or 10 reasons why you need a virtual assistant. Anything that will get people to read it, comment, and then blog about it.

How to get rid of bad backlinks
So I noticed my rankings going down and spam score going up. So under my spam score there are over 100 links for different websites but ALL redirect to semalt.com I researched it and it says they hijacked a bunched of backlinks but don't know much more. How can I get rid of all those backlinks? I was told I could use the disavow tool but apparently that can hurt my ranking as well. The semalt.com site has no backlink to me - it looks like the pages that have/had my backlinks, they've redirected to them. What are he benefits of getting 200+ links from DA 40+ non-relevant websites?
I have a client who has an opportunity to sponsor a prestigious national organisation. In return, they will get 200+ links from the websites of the organisation's members. Most of which are DA 40+.None of the linking sites have any relevance to my client's industry.1) How likely do you think it is that Google will view these as paid links?2) Do you feel that there is potential harm in gaining this many non-relevant links in a short time-frame?3) The client wants me to quantify the ranking benefits of gaining these links and calculate a potential ROI. Hi, we are trying to improve on the number of links to our website. A supplier has added a PDF file which is case study to their website. In the PDF it has a link to our website, will this count as a link or not? Thanks

Backlinks through dofollow commenting
I'm interested in building backlinks to my photography business site by leaving good, engaging comments on other photographers' DoFollow blogs. Is this a good idea? Is it worth the effort? Through a little research, I've managed to locate more than 40 dofollow photographer blogs that have a domain authority of 35+. The idea is to take an hour or so a week to leave 10-20 comments on their blog posts. Would you consider this a good strategy? I rank on the first and second page of most of my keywords that I'm working on, but I want to rank 1st or 2nd on them. I used the keyword finder tool on google adwords to find the keywords that are the most searched for in my area. Surprisingly the competition is not large, so I'm fairly comfident I can get there. I've already optimized my site substantially and I'm looking into link building. Thoughts?

Hidden Backlinks
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. We have a competitor who appears to be ranking No1 for a competitive search term with a very lame site and above some authoritative sites. He has been here for some time as well. When we check out his back link profile through OSE, Majestic and Ahrefs they show as only 3 backlinks from no PR sites. However, someone pointed out that they could be using a link network that is blocking every crawler apart from Google, Yahoo and BIng. I would like to know if there is a way to confirm this. For instance I know that we can use screaming frog to mimic Googlebot, however, if there a way to reveal the real backlinks to a site like this using any tools. Thanks

Blog commenting
I have been doing a little bit of testing in regards to blog commenting on high authority blogs that no follow comments. The comments have all been manual and added value to the blog. I have noticed quite a big jump in rankings for some keywords. I was wondering if anyone else has a view on the effectiveness of these links when combined with other link building methods?
