Why dont we get G+ profile images in SERP?
-
Hi!
We have a blog on our Swedish Car site. We have around 10 bloggers that blog frequently for us. Most of them have a Google+ profile and has added us to the "contributes to" field. We also have a rel=me tag on each post.
Still after serveral weeks, the Google+ profile picture isnt showing up in the search results.
Here is two examples:
http://www.facit.com/se/test-renault-megane-sport-tourer-16-dci/
http://www.facit.com/se/test-av-vw-passat-alltrack/
Can anyone help me or explain if there is something I have done wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Supposedly, once you have verified authorship, Google should take it from there.
I have tried adding direct links on posts to Google+: "Joakim Westman can be found on Google Plus" (which then links to the author's Google+ profile).
The author biography pages on my site almost always come up in the serps with pictures, and I link those back to their Google+ pages as well.
But really, my best indicator has been the more the author writes, the more they show up.
As far as Google not trusting you, I'd look at the overall picture, not display in serps. Google is always messing around with display, for their own reasons.

It is correctly set up according to the structured data testing tool. Are there any ways to increase the chance to get the profile images to show up?
I have also noticed that the stars on our car tests also has dissapeared...
Could it be that google dont trust us anymore?

You have it set up correctly. You can use Google's structured data testing tool to see how the images would look: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets
Google doesn't guarantee to show authorship information, that's just a possibility and can depend what the person was searching for.
For my site, I find that the pictures that are most likely to show up in the search results are the pictures of the authors who write the most.

Has anyone seen a Blog post from LinkedIn's new Blog feature appear in SERP's?
This feature, prior to Feb. 2014 was only available to high profile users, or influencers, like Bill Gates. Now it is available to all LinkedIn users and extends the reach to LinkedIn groups and your own network. Anyone know if there's an SEO benefit? Thanks in advance.

How about the new Google Plus cover images?
I logged into several accounts this morning and have noticed Google Plus has changed their cover images/layout... again! When I edit the cover image, it only allows me to pick the old ratios. What do you think? Here to stay? Was there an announcement or anything about this?

What if an employee leaves and removes Rel=Author verification from their Google Plus profile?
What if someone leaves your company and removes your site from their Google Plus profile (under "Contributor To"). Does that kill all the rel=author on the pages written by this former employee? (Should you use the email verification with employees to avoid this scenario? Email verification is a big hassle for us.)

Images on Social Media - Can they be Optimized?
My company has been sharing images on its Facebook and twitter outlets which are getting a lot of shares. It seems to be the only thing really working for us. Is there a way to optimize this or use it to our advantage for our website? Or is this just something that will help me gain some edge rank in Facebook?

My goal at this point is to gain greater web exposure. I would love to be they type of blog others actively follow.

Need advice about publishing free images
We produced a Movember poster to use at our showroom to encourage customers to donate, and I published it on some of our blogs as to raise the profile of our campaign. We've been getting loads of hits from people searching for "Movember poster", but as it has our branding on it won't be much good to them. It's a good image which has been making people laugh, so I think it's worth publishing an unbranded version which people can use freely so long as they link back to us if they use it on a website. Obviously I can publish the unbranded version of the poster on our own websites, but I think it might be worth publishing it on free image sites as well. I've got no experience dealing with image publication, so just wondered if anyone can give me any suggestions about the best way to go about it.

Will becoming a YouTube partner get me higher rankings on the site?
One of the branded channels I run has been offered to be apart of YouTube's Partnership program. Trick is - I don't necessarily want to see ads pop up for my videos, as I imagine the revenue is fairly small. I would be wiling to join the program if there is evidence that joining the program helps our rankings on YouTube. I imagine it may - as YouTube likely would give preference for partnered channels, partly due to ad/revenue opportunities for them, and partly because partners have obviously proven to have better content. What do you guys recommend?
