Number of backlinks throughout time
-
From what I understand one important aspect in link building is how those backlinks have been acquired throughout time. So if a website gets a large number of backlinks in a short amount of time, the value of those links are reduced in the eyes of search engines.
Is there a tool in SEOMoz (that i can't find) that would show the change of backlinks for my campaigns in the last one year?

The payday loan site probably just made the buzz with a great content ;).

Thanks Tom.

Unfortunately, I don't think SEOMoz provides this. However, MajesticSEO does. The tool's index tells you when the link was first discovered, which you can export into an excel sheet, which allows you to sort by discovery and visualise when the links were discovered from there.
Majestic also does provide a visualisation tool to see the acquisition of links over time. Here is an example:

And just for fun, here's a payday loan spam site

Hope this helps

Hello, I have a page with a forum and at this moment the moz report says that have 15.1k of issues like url too long, meta noindex, title too long etc. But this page have a load time realy sloooow with 11 seconds. I know i need fix all that errors (i'm working on this) but... What is more important for SEO? The page load or that type of error like duplicate titles etc. Thank you!

Lag time between MOZ crawl and report notification?
I did a lot of work to one of my sites last week and eagerly awaited this week's MOZ report to confirm that I had achieved what I was trying to do, but alas I still see the same errors and warnings in the latest report. This was supposedly generated five days AFTER I made the changes, so why are they not apparent in the new report? I am mainly referring to missing metadata, long page titles, duplicate content and duplicate title errors (due to crawl and URL issues). Why would the new crawl not have picked up that these have been corrected? Does it rely on some other crawl having updated (e.g. Google or Bing)?

Open Site Explorer backlink results different that MajesticSEO... why?
When checking the number of external links linking to a site, Open Site Explorer and MajesticSEO give completely different results. In one case Open Site Explorer is saying the website has: "49 Total Links" and MajesticSEO is saying the website has: "6,143 External Backlinks (in the last 5 years)" and "497 External Backlinks (in the last 90 days)" Does anyone know why this is?

What time of day are keyword rankings updated
The keyword rankings in one of my campaigns update on Tuesday. It looks like they updated today but when I downloaded to CSV, some say last Tuesday. Is this because they didn't change or are they still updating? Today is Tuesday. i.e., do they update at a specific time and if so, what time?

Backlink confusion
I've gotten confused when it comes to the Competitive Analysis Report in the Web App. I track in my own spreadsheet how many backlinks I accumulate. However, I had thought that the Competitive Analysis report would do that as well. But each month, the numbers of Total LInks- through Linking c-blocks changes up and down drastically. I clicked HELP to try and understand what each of these means, but could you please explain them to me? I was under the impression that External Followed Links are the ones I was going after, however, shouldn't my records match with the one in the web app? Somehow I went from 786 ext followed links in January, to 867 in Feb, to 804 in March, to 804 in April, then 973 in May, and dropped to 791 2 weeks later...I don't think I'm understanding how the web app calculates these numbers. And how come Domain Authority seems to fluctuate up and down? So what would be the best way to track my progress in accumulating backlinks? Would it be my own spreadsheet or do you have a tool for this? Because I'd like to see how many I've gotten since January, but don't understand how to see this in the webapp. HELP!

How to see rankings for a group of keywords over time?
I have around 1200 keywords in an seomoz campaign, chopped into various groups using labels. I am interested in tracking how keywords perform over time, especially groups of keywords. As far as I can tell, in the seomoz tools I can only see historical performance for a single keyword at a time. Is there a way to get a historical performance graph of more than one keyword at once? We often run optimizations for sets of words, so it seems like you would have better stats looking at groups of words vs picking one at a time. Is there a way to export historical data for more than keyword at a time? (So I could graph and analyze this sort of thing myself) Does anyone have other suggestions for tracking rankings in this way? Thanks for any help!
