What does the blocking_google property in the CSV export mean, and what to do about it?
-
The CSV export for Crawl Diagnostics contains a column named "blocked_google". It states a blocking date/time but doesn't occur on all our webpages, not even on all pages of the same type / structure.
There are no other flags on these records that would explain a blocking of Google; all other agents are not flagged, and our robots.txt doesn't contain any blocks either. The only flag the records have in common is "Page Title > 70 characters". Of course, I could just assume this is the reason for the "blocking_google", but is it?
What evaluation makes the crawler fill in this property, and how to handle/solve it's occurrence?

that page seem fine, and it also indexed by google, so I'm not sure whats the story with that. Might be best to contact seomoz support (help@moz.com I think)

Btw try screeming frog ( you can do 500 pages for free), it should pick up the same error and might explain why.

Our CMS generates the following meta-tags on the affected pages:
Pragma is for cache control, content-type and google verification are clear. P: is Pinterest Social media, the rest is standard again. I searched the source of the page for "robots" as well, but no results.

check that those pages don't have some like:
meta name="robots" content="NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW" />
in the source code

If Google's index contains multiple URLs for my homepage, does that mean the canonical tag is not working?
I have a site which is using canonical tags on all pages, however not all duplicate versions of the homepage are 301'd due to a limitation in the hosting platform. So some site visitors get www.example.com/default.aspx while others just get www.example.com. I can see the correct canonical tag on the source code of both versions of this homepage, but when I search Google for the specific URL "www.example.com/default.aspx" I see that they've indexed that specific URL as well as the "clean" one. Is this a concern... shouldn't Google only show me the clean URL?

Redirect Without Passing Old Page Properties
Is there a way to redirect one page to another, e.g. test.com/ to test.com/home, without passing link juice or any other associated properties of the latter to the former?

New Title and Desciptions on page is visible does that mean index postion is also
Hi, I have a question, Suppose I change some content on my web page, i.e. Title, Description, some body text. And then several days later I see this changes have been reflected within the contents displayed to me when I do a google search. I also notice that at the same time that these contents have been displayed to me that the position of my site has either dropped or increased by several positions. Is it a reasonable assumption to attribute the position change to the changes I made on the webpage or is there usually a delay in position movement upon changes visibly being displayed? Thanks,

Can I use canonical tags to merge property map pages and availability pages to their counterpart overview pages?
I have a property website, for each property are 4-5 tabs each with their own URL, these pages include the overview page which is content rich, and auxilliary pages such as maps, availability, can I use a canonical tag to merge the tabs with very little content to their corresponding overview page which is content rich? I.e. www.mywebsite.co.uk/property-1/overview This page has tabs for map, town info, availability which all have their own url i.e. www.mywebsite.co.uk/property-1/map

www.mywebsite.co.uk/property-1/availability
www.mywebsite.co.uk/property-1/towninfo Because these auxilary pages do not contain much content can I place a canonical tag in them pointing back to the content rich overview page at www.mywebsite.co.uk/property-1/overview?0 -
