Is that Penguin 2.0 or just temporary situation?

i changed my hosting provider because better server hardware on 22 May. And many results dropped on google! My website opened only just 17 Jan 2013.

Is that temporary situation coz changing ip address (hosting provider) or penguin 2.0?

If your back link profile is good it's just coincidental that your traffic drop, your IP address change, and Penguin2 all happened on the same day, then wait it out--obviously you're doing something well to have all those back links. If your link profile is on the low quality side, it's probably time to start cleaning house and doing the things penguin victims have to do. Here's a little more info on the May 22nd penguin update.

Almost 5K back links in 5 month is not bad as long as they're coming from legitimate sources and the growth is consistent. If I were going to make a guess as to whether it was the IP address change or the back links that were the root of the problem, I'd guess the back links.

Interesting, thanks for the followup. I've not heard about this signal.
Seems like that was over a week ago, and the reason you reposted is b/c you want to confirm whether the IP address is really impacting the rankings.
Lauren Vincent sounds like she has had some experience with it -- I recommend contacting her to ask the severity and duration of these penalties.
The second response to your original post suggested that the penalty should not be significant. So something is up, and it's best to contact someone who knows!

Changing your hosting provider does not impact your ratings in any significant manner. Something significant-- like changing your domain/subdomain, or a bunch of URL's--would be necessary for Google to ding your site.
Since you pointed out that you changed hardware right around when Penguin came out -- I would say the culprit is Penguin.

Huge httaccess with old 301 redirects. Is it safe to delete all redirects with no traffic in last 2 months?
We have a huge httaccess file over several MB which seems to be the cause for slow server response time. There are lots of 301 redirects related to site migration from 9 months ago where all old URLs were redirected to new URL and also lots of 301 redirects from URL changes accumulated over the last 15 years. Is it safe to delete all 301 redirects which did not receive any traffic in last 2 months ? Or would you apply another criteria for identifying those 301 that can be safely deleted? Any way to get in google analytics or webmaster tools all 301 that received traffic in the last 2 months or any other easy way to identify those, apart from checking the apache log files ?

Website gone from PR 2 to PR 0
Hi guys! We're looking at a site in the trade industry here in Australia and it appears that around the Panda/Penguin updates in September & October last year, they've had their Google PageRank wiped out back to zero. I know we shouldn't be focusing too much on PR these days, but can't help but wonder what's caused this. It's a local business website who aren't selling links etc. I'm thinking backlinks pointing at the site that were giving them a boost have been discounted, however, they still have quite a number of quality links coming into them. Would love to pick your brains! Regards.

Penguin: Recovery from Algorithm
Hi Mozzers, A quick question regarding Google Penguin recovery. A domain I have was hit by Penguin and we got a message in Webmaster Tools. We went to work fixing links we thought were most harmful, documented the evidence and did a reconsideration request. Google's reply was "No manual spam actions found". If reconsideration requests aren't the way to go then of course I will continue to build good natural links. But if I remove more links which I consider to be harmful will I ever know if the penalty is removed? Is there a point at which the algorithm would remove the penalty and inform me? Thanks!

Does anybody know about a Penguin recovery for a small business website?
Does anybody know about a Penguin recovery for a small business website and the methodology they used? I have a PR 5 website that lost more than 50% of the traffic in Google. I removed some of the wide site links at the best of my ability but I see little or no results so far.

Panda / Penguin Testing on a Site - Has anyone see this?
Hi, Trying to diagnose the fall of our site. We fell mainly with Panda 3.4 and then a little more with Penguin. We have a main site with 200 pages and an attached blog. example domain.com/blog Then blog that was really small with only 7 posts. One keyword phrase example: "ace widget software" has ranked # 2 and 3 through the entire storm. The page that is ranking is in our main root site (not the blog). We used to rank for 200 phrases now only rank for about 10 Over the past week I stumbled on the fact that if I create a new post in my blog, those pages rank in 3 days. Good rankings, #2 on one and at least first page on the other 5 pages. One page ranked #2 in 17 hours. The test I am conducting: I am now testing to see if maybe there is some coding issue on our site, we do not use a template but a 3 column design built in Dreamweaver using older style tables etc. 1. Putting a new page on the old design. 2. Taking an existing page and putting into new design without side columns. 3. Already testest - adding new page to blog (success on this test) Seems if it was a coding issue/ design the two or three keywords phrases that stayed steady through the storm would have fallen. our site: www.TranslationSoftware4u.com Has anyone else been adding new content to see it rank really good but cannot get the other pages to bounce back up in rankings? What causes internal pages to have a page rank of 0 if the home page is PR 5?
The home page PageRank is 5 but every single internal page is PR 0. Things I know I need to address each page has 300 links (Menu problem). Each article has 2-3 duplicates caused from the CMS working on this now. Has anyone else had this problem before? What things should I look out for to fix this issue. All internal linking is follow there is no page rank sculpting happening on the pages.
