Maybe the easiest way to get further up is to concentrate some time on Google+ Local. Get yourself a decent local setup with good keyword usage, make sure the account is 100% complete with photos, video etc and do some local citation building. Get as many of your previous clients to put reviews up (gradually) and once you get past 5 reviews you might see a jump onto page 1. From what I see here in the UK the competition is pretty weak for Buffalo apartments for Local so this might be your best route back to page 1.
Any thoughts from anyone else on this approach?Ant

Get back to basics! I love the fact that onsite SEO tactics are still as important as they are!! Social engagement is another biggie! Use Facebook, twitter, Google + & YouTube to spread content.

Anthony has very good advise.
I would add, when writing content either on a blog or on pages or descriptions be very natural, try not to sound to much like a cheap car salesman and DON'T stuff the content with keywords. Also don't be afraid to make your reviews public. Good and bad, all work great for your site, use the bad reviews to improve service, also respond to them.

Attempting to check your website from my office and I get this::
Malicious website blocked
| Rating: | Dangerous | Verified fraudulent page or threat source. |
What You Can Do:
This could be our software but this isn't something I have gotten before. You might make sure your website hasn't been hacked.... I know this doesnt really answer your question but it might be worth looking in to.

It appears you have no real links coming into your sites apart from non related ones. If you look at the first page of Google for the search term you are competing against some websites with decent domain authority. Go back to basics, look at your content, get yourself a decent link building campaign and build for the long term. Have you thought about targeting the longer keyword phrases that are less competitive? In my eyes for example your meta title is too long and rather keyword stuffed if I read it with human eyes. How about Social, do people share you on facebook twitter, etc etc.
If I was looking for an apartment I would be wanting to find out about the various areas, transport, price changes, etc. Thought about a blog to increase the content and cover stuff that people might want to find out about?

Can lost pages be redirected with a 301 in order to do not lost keyword rankings?
Hi, I have got a website and some posts rank well, but I am not so interested in keep them for branding reasons. So I planned to do 301 redirects to home and remove those contents. Is it ok? Thanks!

Why Does This Site Rank Well?
I noticed recently that the website of a local church (http://www.lifepointfc.com/) has climbed toward the top of the SERPS, and I cannot figure out why. The on-site SEO seems mediocre, at best, and their domain authority is 15 while their homepage authority is just 19. Does anyone see how they are working their SEO magic?

Ranking Fluctuations
I need your help. My rankings have been on a wild roller coaster ride since I started optimizing the site with standard on page optimization changes. (No keyword stuffing or over-optimization...) I have only made positive changes for the content on the page; I created unique descriptions for every product. I redirected some urls that weren’t readable into a more user- friendly format. I am only doing completely organic link building, really. Yet for some weird reason the rankings initially rose and then steeply fell and ever since have went back up to the top and right back to not in the top 50 results. Just to give you an example this is a graph of one of our main keywords: https://www.diigo.com/item/image/3vpdp/gd2q This is another keyword that we admittedly never were in the top 5 results but usually we were in the top 20. Check out the wild fluctuations. If it wasn't the main keyword we were going after, I would probably laugh. https://www.diigo.com/item/image/3vpdp/rcy9 I asked an expert he said he think it might be from a major issue with internal competition. The keywords that seem to fluctuate the most, have numerous landing pages that compete for the same keyword. Since we sell the same object in many many different sizes, thicknesses and colors it only makes sense that we have the same keyword on many pages. I would love someone that is an expert in this area to have a look at the site and give actionable advice so I can stop the craziness. Do you have any suggestions? Do you have anyone that you’d refer for this type of job/consulting?

If I want to rank well on one keyword would it be better to optimize multiple pages on the website for the keyword or should I only optimize one page for that keyword?

Finished On Page optimization and slipping in rankings
Just finished on page optimization for a client that was on page 2 for the keyword. Went from an on page score of D to an A. But we are still slipping down the rankings. We were towards to top of page 2 now we are towards the bottom. Is there a time that it takes to change or does the on page not really make a big impact?

Mechanical Turk for reviews
Hi all, The website we run is B2B and we have a very difficult time getting customers to write reviews. We have some ideas in the works to get some organically, but I'm exploring the option of using Mechanical Turk. I want the reviews to be sincere, or at least somewhat insightful for customers, but mainly I'm looking for unique content. Does anyone have experience with this or advice on the matter? Thanks in advance!

Why did our ranking go up, then drop down again?
Hello SEOMoz community. I work for a website that runs a collectibles news service and sells collectibles online. I recently renamed one of the pages from "Stock for Sale" to "Collectibles for Sale" anticipating this would help our ranking for the term "collectibles for sale". This changes the Title, URL and h1 to Collectible for Sale. A few days later we were up to 5th on Google UK for that keyword. But now after the weekend we've dropped off the face of the earth... Or at least somewhere low down in the rankings. I imagine there could be multiple reasons for this, but what are the most likely causes? There is not much text on the page, it contains an iFrame with image boxes that link to relevant collectibles categories. Website: www.paulfrasercollectibles.com
